I planned to stay for 2 or 3 days but the ambience & hospitality was very professional, so I extended it more than a week. Rooms are clean & spacious, housekeeping was good. I visited Tiruvannamalai on a solo trip and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in art, culture, architecture, and, of course, spirituality. Over three days, I visited Ramanashramam, Yogi Ramsuratkumar Ashram, trekked to Skandashramam, explored local food spots and markets, and completed the famous 14 km Girivalam (walk around Arunachala Hill). Three days felt just right to cover the main attractions at a relaxed pace. Most places are easily accessible on foot, and renting a scooter makes it even more convenient to explore the town and nearby areas. Overall, Tiruvannamalai is a unique destination that beautifully combines spiritual depth with rich cultural heritage. Whether you're seeking inner reflection or simply want to experience its history, architecture, and local life, it's a place well worth visiting.

I was in Tiruvannāmalai to visit Ramanāshrama.

I was in Tiruvannāmalai to visit Ramanāshrama. And also to attend a Goenka Vipassana retreat at Dhamma Arunāchala which is a 30-minute drive from Ramanāshrama. I was very happy to visit the bookshop at Ramana Ashrama, procure some pictures and books, and spend some time in the meditation halls at Ramanāshrama and also listen to soul-stirring Tamil chants there. And to have the prasādam (lunch) served at 11.30 am even to devotees who are not staying at the āshrama, as long as we get a token from the office. I enjoyed walking up the sacred Arunāchala mountain to Skandhāshrama, the cave where Ramana Maharshi lived for many years and where devotees can now sit and meditate for a few hours every day. Arunāchala mountain is much greener now than it was 20 years ago on my last visit! There were slightly aggressive monkeys on Arunāchala, aggressive when their little ones were around and I think when they sensed fear in me. I kept my thoughts as positive as I possibly could, waited for them to pass and soldiered on. I was fine and so were the monkeys! After the Vipassana retreat which was at a new, stunning eco-friendly center in a forest, serving unbelievably delicious, light and authentic vegetarian Tamil food, I stayed in Tiruvannāmalai again. And attempted the Giri Pradakshinā (the 14-kilometer long circumambulation of Arunachala mountain on the outer path, the main road) with friends. It took us 6 hours to complete it at a nice, relaxed pace with plenty of short breaks for some rest. We were told the inner path is no longer open. I did not want to leave Tiruvannāmalai and would love to visit again very, very soon.

This place is comfortable and very reasonable rate compare to another place in Tiruvannamalai and room service is very good 500 meters near new bus stand and railway station so we no need auto only walkable distance so I recommend to our friends this place is soo good 👍

It was a very poor accommodation experience.

It was a very poor accommodation experience. The room attendant was an elderly woman, so I had to carry my own luggage. The AC was not working, and my room was on the 3rd floor with no lift facility available. The washroom was unclean, and there was no common refrigerator provided. There was also no car parking facility. Overall, I was very disappointed with the stay.

reached Tiruvannamalai, wanted to go for girivalam after 45...

reached Tiruvannamalai, wanted to go for girivalam after 45 minutes rest in the room, auto is being arranged around 11pm in the night for fixed cost, started girvalam at around 11.25pm, completed by 3.15am, booked an auto to come back, reached in 15 mins, had a sound sleep until 9am, left premises around 10.45am. roads are pretty good, no dividers on NH 77, please drive safe, avoid overtaking as much as possible

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, and the rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained. The hotel is located directly opposite the temple entrance, making it incredibly convenient—you can reach the temple in just a few seconds on foot. Overall, we had a very smooth and pleasant stay.
