QatarThis is one of the best lodge’s I have ever stayed in, the location is perfect, right in the middle of the beautiful farm land of New Zealand, not a long drive from the nearest town. The place is super clean and cozy, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery and farm animals. Alyson is a great host and makes you feel right at home. I’ve been to this lodge twice now and I am definitely coming back!

JapanIt was modern, clean, comfortable. The hostess left delicious brownies, ice cream, fruit, fresh (still warm) bread, fresh orange juice, milk, and bacon and eggs (which we cooked) for breakfast. The nespresso machine with milk frother was great too. The apartment is very private, and very close to Matamata.

Lovely, comfortable beds and carpeted floors. All the basic necessities provided ie. Towel, shampoo and soap. Other guests there were friendly and nice to spend time with in the communal area which had games and books to use. Very clean and comfortable space to relax in. Lovely town close to Hobbiton (which is excellent for all ages). Great restaurants & op shops (but the latter were closed on public holiday.)
Opal Springs Thermal Pools great for families.
Okoroire Hot Springs (via the Hotel) - pools suited to adults only -sit and soak, no splashing or head under. Facilities around pools in very poor condition. One toilet shared men & women, one tiny changing room, also shared. No rubber matting on floor. Had to change in muddy puddles. Sad because these pools are historic, first concrete pools built in NZ. Could be lovely with some investment. Hotel itself is beautiful, heritage decor, provides meals & accomm. But pools too expensive - $46 for one senior & 2 kids for an hour.

Te aroha is a cute town with beautiful historic buildings and so much history. The domain, the walks and the hot pools are a must see.
We ate at the office which was really delicious. The countryside around te aroha is so beautiful

Karangahake is a great area to explore and enjoy the outdoors. You can head into Waihi or Paeroa town easily enough to grab food and enjoy. You can spend the full day out in Karangahake Gorge adventuring through all areas, finding tunnels and old mining equipment.

Morrinsville is a small country town, close to Hamilton.
Morrinsville is a small country town, close to Hamilton. It's easy to get around. I visited redoubt bar restaurant which was great and Loxies is a nice cafe. I heard there are mineral hot pools in Te Aroha close by which are amazing but didn't get to visit them as we were only there for a short time attending a wedding. Rosebrook Wedding Venue was lovely.

This house was wonderfully built by the owner in a unique timber style and is very comfortable for a total of 10 guests.
The interior and exterior are arranged to gather all the guests on the several tables put at their disposal.
The garden is heaven and properly maintained.
It’s quiet and relaxing.
We highly recommend this house

It was a great place to relax away from people and have time...
It was a great place to relax away from people and have time to spend walking amongst the trees, admiring the different flowers and the artworks that are installed throughout the grounds. It was lovely to enjoy and appreciate all of the hard work that has been completed on this property. Turning an old quarry into a haven for wildlife, nature and art and give children and adults alike and great experience.

Lovely little town with good selection of restaurants. We ate at Osteria. The food was amazing.The homes are well cared for and the town centre presents itself as a well loved and cared for environment. Amazing trees in the town itself! The surrounding country side is beautiful. The waterfall is beautiful even from the road. We were unfortunately too late in the day to do the walk.

Great little country town in a good location, close enough to the both Auckland and Hamilton cities but far away enough for peace and quiet.
A town with some great eating options of cafes and restaurants along with local tourism facilities.

If you are coming by car take the Old Tauranga rd & Pukekaure rd off state highway 2 (sign posted golf rd) from Bay of Plenty for excitement. Go & see the glow worms at night. Great walks & cycling along the river

Great place to stop off at especially if travelling to Coromandel. Go out for Tea, (Chambers Cafe and Bar was lovely our go-to-place) ,get supplies and have a break.If you’re into Natural fibre, beautiful clothes and a cafe meal Annah Stretton has her Wharehouse/Cafe there with great bargains. ❤️Also Tearoha mineral Spas is 15k further up Rd and is brilliant in Winter. Haircut in mind…Silver scissors. (Book ahead)😁
