Miles of untouched beaches, all accessible by excellently installed parking facilities, some in walking distance from the town center. The town has an ample number of good restaurants and 'super mercados', and a well established Camping ground.
V.N.d.M. works very well as travel base - it is two hours drive to Lisbon, two hours to the Algarve, and two hours to Evora. We love it, and we are coming back again and again."

The best thing is the location: restaurants right outside the door, the shops just around the corner and the beach about 10 minutes away! It was so handy having everything so close. The staff were great with recommendations; we especially loved Ciuccio, Pomò and Casa do Prego. Even better, Padaria Central bakery is 30 seconds away. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and would stay there again. We parked in the public parking just 5 minutes from the hotel and it was free which was a bonus. Really recommend Praia de Dona Ana, you can walk there (about 20 minutes) and the boardwalks to the beach are great. We also went to see dolphins which was fantastic. What a great stay we’ve had!

DenmarkAll the staff are very sweet and helpful, quite service minded. I love the breakfast, good quality and has many options. The hotel is located in the heart of Lagos, there’s many shops and restaurants right next to it and it’s easy to get to everywhere. It’s very new, you can tell from the interior and cleanness, there’s nice scent throughout the whole area. The room I stayed has good sound isolation, I slept really well and barely heard anything from outside.

CanadaI cannot say enough about this property. We had two fantastic days there and were treated like royalty! The staff are incredibly helpful and professional. The room was huge and so comfortable. We were told we could have memory foam put on the mattress if the bed was too firm. We opted for this and were so comfortable. What other hotel offers this ?? We were driven down to the beach in a golf cart! Such a lovely place. The breakfast was delicious.

It was an excellent discovery and an experience that we will not forget. The starting highlight is Silvia, who gave us a very friendly welcoming and helped us with delight with our wishes. We had a wonderful sleep with no noises and excellent beds, including an extra proper bed, replacing a sofa bed. The space with the pool and the jacuzzi just made our experience unforgettable, with breathtaking views over the river and all the nature around. Pictures are very good but cannot show the sounds and smell of the little paradise there. It has a good big cooling fridge. Soap, shampoo and gel from Rituals.
We discovered that some improvements in the house have been made which make some comments in Booking invalid. This shows to me the high focus on the customer and their willingness to improve. For instance, our house 1) had all the windows (6 windows) with inner wooden shutters that allow full dark, 2)the shower had a glass instead of a curtain, 3)the sofa bed was replaced by a proper wonderful bed.
Breakfast is wonderful highlighting award-winning cheese, delicious fresh cheese, dried jam, freshly made scramble eggs at a very calm place.
The view from hammock at the courtyard towards the orange field and the forest is amazing.

We had an amazing time. Monica made our stay so special. She made us dinner reservations, a picnic to take on our hike and was so welcoming. Homemade breakfast was a highlight as were the beautiful views. Highly recommend! Accommodation was large, clean and had everything we needed. Family of 5 with little kids-this was their favorite stop on our Portuguese holiday. The hike to the river, the donkey, the tree swing, the pool.

The place is wonderful, surrounded by trees and silence, with a vast area where peacocks roam freely. The room was comfortable, and since we stayed in winter, the heaters were on, making it very warm and cozy. We had breakfast, which was quite tasty and diverse. The only inconvenience was having to go to a nearby hotel from the same chain to check in, but overall, it wasn’t a big issue.

Very peaceful and distant enough from the city to get a starry sky at night. It includes 2 pools and a restaurant, game room, bicycles, common room, pool service, snacks, parking... the service and staff are very friendly, provided everything we needed. It was more than we expected.

Angela was fantastic from the start - reaching out to us for arrival times and being there to greet us, wonderful breakfasts with the help of her staff and advice on the town. The rooms were quiet - beautiful and comfortable and everything is and was as per the website. If you are looking for clean upmarket accommodation it is worth the extra money and the positioning of the guesthouse is perfect. Easy walking to town/restaurants/beaches and it was in a lovely quiet street. I wish we could have spent more time there and highly recommend staying here.

Love the hotel a little dated but that's what make it such a nice place to stay. The little town of Sagres has some of the best restaurants around and shopping at the supermarket is easy as its close by. The restaurant the laundry lounge is great, eat, drink and do your washing all at the same time. The Hsng put cafe is also a great place to eat. But one of the best is the seafood restaurant at the harbour, go and eat seafood caught that morning. Oh but be careful of the path down to the harbour it's steep and can be slippery and remember once down you have get back up. Also Salema and Burgau have wonderful beaches. It's nice going to lagos a great town with lots of wonderful buildings and interesting shops. Plus always street music playing. Stroll around the harbour and dream of what you would be having, I know I do.

This property is in a quiet area called Vale do Telha NOT actually in Aljezur which is about 8 kms or 5 miles away. The actual town is very nice in the old parts with a busy main street then there is the completely separate new town about 1km from the old where the supermarket and other facilities are. The old town has the castle, narrow and steep cobbled streets and pathways which are great for exploring. The old town is pretty boring.

A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic. A great place for a short visit if you like to avoid the crowds or to look for accomodation if you plan to explore the gorgeous 'vicentina' coast, with car access to many great beaches. Most of these beaches are likely to be too 'wild' for most people, with difficult access, but they are perfect for the more adventurers and, again, for those who prefer to avoid the crowds. Plus, there are a few places in the village centre where you can enjoy a really tasteful light meal, of which I'd definitely reccommend the restaurants 'Ao Largo' and 'Casa Verde'.

Lovely peaceful village apart from the hoards of tourists. Its on The Fishermans Trail so lots of walkers staying overnight. There's a selection of restaurants on a pedestrianised street and even a Michelin starred one.

Beautiful place, healthy food and friendly staff. Our family enjoyed the Tippi and woody experience very much. We also enjoyed the variety of activitties on the camp: surfing, but also on site: butterfly tour, jewellery and clay workshops etc.

While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first.
While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first. But you can use it to explore the surrounding countryside and beaches. Within one day you can see more rual locations, small forests in the hills and spectacular coastlines... Also more touristic cities are nearby. So you can have it all - the quiet and more peaceful base in Vila do Bispo, while still everything is in reach by bus or car... or even by foot. There are quite some nice walking tracks around the city. Enough to do for 3,4 or more days

Burgau is a really simple, quaint village that's quiet and has a relaxed, easy-going rhythm to it. Even the coffee there is soothing. There's pockets of yoga classes and community (you see the same familiar faces around), an amazing fish restaurant the beach is surrounded by beautiful mountains (sometimes with the moon in the mornings).
