We recently spent a magical New Year's Eve at the Peerless Hotel in Ashland, Oregon, and it was an absolute delight. This boutique hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort, making it the perfect place to ring in the new year, or celebrate any occasion (or simply relax!). Here's a breakdown of our experience: Location: -Ideal for a car-free vacation! The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, Ashland Plaza, and everything we needed were all within walking distance. Perfect for exploring Ashland's gems on foot. - Nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood, it provided a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. Ambiance: - Rich Victorian atmosphere with original woodwork, high ceilings, and antique furnishings. - Each corner is visually stunning, offering a luxurious and opulent feel. Rooms: - Only 6 rooms available, ensuring a personalized and intimate stay. - Rooms are beautifully appointed with fine linens, modern bathrooms, and thoughtful amenities like a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to toast to new beginnings. - Some rooms even feature fireplaces for an extra touch of romance. - And the pièce de résistance? Soaking clawfoot tubs! The luxurious touch adds a whole new level of relaxation to your stay. The hotel's rich history is a definite draw for tourists. Steeping in the past adds another layer to the overall experience. Imagine yourself surrounded by the echoes of Ashland's grand past. Charming and cozy are my first impressions. Everything was pristine clean. The location and facilities are excellent for vacationers visiting the area.

Indoor pool and comfortable bed. Closeness to the airport is a plus when you have an early morning flight

Super clean, the best breakfast in the region, comfortable, excellent staff.

Staff were lovely, and they decorated the room for my partner's birthday as I requested. It was clean and comfortable, and Talon restaurant makes excellent steak.

I've stayed at the Winchester many times in the past. This trip was much like the others. The room was sparkling clean. The Breakfast was the best breakfast you could get, which is included in the room price. A fabulous choice on the menu. In the room there are great little things waiting for you like, home made cookies, which are amazing; a variety of teas; coffee and a bottle of wine (which you pay for). We couldn't ask for anything more on top of the beautiful grounds and the antique environment, you might expect a horse & carriage to come pick you up.

Charming, folksy, historical ambience, two minutes walk to the river with a mile and a half trail along side the scenic Rogue. Warm and welcoming staff of friendly, interesting people. They went out of their way to make me comfortable, even bringing up a mini fridge to my room which wasn't normally offered in that room, and bringing a microwave to my sisters room which also wasn't normally offered in that room. They feed you a lot--a full breakfast, appetizers at 4:30 which you could practically make dinner out of, fresh cookies out of the oven at 7:30 every night. Games to play available in the large and homey family room/lobby, with a big fireplace. Just such a lovely view out of the dining room. You look out into the the huge lawn and the tall trees and the cabins below. Also it's located with an easy driving distance to many fun hikes and other special attractions of the area.

Amazing location! Staff was incredible, and the rooms were perfect. The restaurant was delicious, and service was impeccable. The room decor was wonderful and the beds were super comfortable. I highly recommend this property!

I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).
