Romantic Hotels in Cologne

The property is absolutely beautiful. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The location was Central to every single thing we wanted to go to so we were able to walk.

I really liked the location of the hotel, it has museums and restaurants near, the size of the room was perfect for 2 people

My room was clean and spacious. The hotel itself was lovely and looked, for lack of a better word, quite fancy. I loved it. The location was excellent. There's a tram stop right outside and a train station city and regional trains within a 10-15 minute walk. I was there for a concert at the Lanxess Arena, and that was also just a 10-15 min stroll away. I actually booked the hotel mainly for its location and reasonable price and was delighted with just how luxurious my stay was. I definitely think I got more than I paid for! Staff were always lovely, and room service arrived promptly. Now for a subject I am truly passionate about; hotel breakfast! A lot of people seem to not like them or prefer to seek out their own breakfasts when on holiday, but personally I think they are an integral part of the hotel experience and often a delight. And oh boy did this one deliver! The selection was excellent, tied for the largest I have encountered. The quality of the items was mostly very good too. It perhaps wasn't the highest quality hotel breakfast I have ever had, but never before have I encountered one which such high quality and such a large selection. Highlights for me include the eggs, which were done 4 ways every morning, all of which were good. The omelettes were standouts for me though. The sweet baked goods were also great and never had that staleness you sometimes see at buffets. The tea was good too, high quality silk sachets, as good as you can get from anything that isn't loose leaf. The one letdown were the fruit juices. They were that watered concentrate crap you expect, which was a shame, but it does seem to be an industry standard. All in all that is a tiny nitpick though. I definitely think this a top three hotel breakfast contender for me!

Overall fantastic! location beyond expectations. could not be better. Most central to all attractions and transport communication. Room very spacious. Beds supercomfortable. Pillows wonderful. Breakfast extra abundant! Next time stay only in this hotel in Cologne...

Everything was superb. The room was nice and quiet, lots of light and air, the shower was great, the bed was comfy, the staff was accommodating. Simply a great experience.

It had AC!! The room was charming, bed was comfortable, liked the breakfast at the connected restaurant, and I loved that my room looked out to the terrace. It was a lovely stay and not a crazy walk to the Cathedral.

Right next to the central train station of Frankfurt, close to most of the city's attractions. Staff was super friendly, the breakfast was seriously good and the rooms were way more comfortable than the outside of the hotel might suggest.

The style of the hotel is interesting. The price was good and it was an OK distance from the train station so we could walk there easily with luggage.

Such a great welcome and friendly contact, we felt right at home. And the breakfast is excellent.

This location is really brilliant. Heinzels Wintermärchen is right outside the door & the H stop for the hoilday train is in the immediate vicinity as well. Cozy room with tall ceilings and street facing windows which opened to allow in the Christmas music. Very clean, with a mini frig, comfortable bed & nice ensuite bath. Easy 8 minute walk (with a roller bag) from the train station and Cathedral. There is a highly rated restaurant on-site that smelled fantastic, but I didn't get a chance to try it. I would stay in this accommodation again on future visits & found the value in the rate.

Very close to the main train station and the cathedral. Our room was very spacious, bigger than anything we’ve experienced in Europe. Shower was awesome, had a very good blow dryer, bed was great and comfortable. Room was warm and cozy, and silent to really rest after a day of lots of walking around. I did not have breakfast there but there are great options close by. Staff was really nice and welcoming. I was able to leave our luggage prior to check-in and also after check-out as our train was a little bit later.
