Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.

I stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveller. I enjoyed the Japanese-styled room and the onsen, and the place was peaceful with wonderful views of Mt Fuji and the gardens (I was fortunate to have good weather during my stay). The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices and was delicious. The staff were professional and helpful, and there was a handy bus shuttle between the hotel and Kawaguchiko station. I had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend!

Fabulous onsen with views of Mount Fuji (can't be beat!). Good location (5 min walk from bus stop from Tokyo) and lovely view overlooking the lake from our room. Staff were very friendly and let us keep our bags at the hotel on our checkout day.

Beautiful location and the staff are so lovely. It’s very old fashioned but welcoming. Bathrooms feel like ship bathrooms. Beds super comfy. Rooms goodsize. Feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Far out but they offer a shuttle service. Comfortable but very dated. Gorgeous onsen with outdoor part.

The property was amazing and we were treated so well by staff! The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and greet you. They picked us up from the train station and brought us back on the day we returned. The room was amazing, so beautiful and had everything we needed. The Onsen was lovely on our room. Breakfast was incredible and we were given a bottle of wine when we arrived with a sign “happy honeymoon” which was very sweet.

We have the whole house to ourselves. Mount Fuji is supposedly just right outside the window if not for the cloudy day. It’s just a throw stone away from the heritage shrine. Also, a 2minutes walk to the closest eating establishment for HOTO noodles. Lovely and relaxing retreat. The staff who communicates very fluently in English, is very helpful and friendly. The excellent service is couplet by the four friendly social cats around the premises.

Mizno's location opposote the lake was perect for viewong Mt Fuji and it's decor was unique. The Author's lounge was an inviting space to relax with a drink. The artwork on every level really added to the atmosphere. The onsen was lovely and qe really enjoulyed our japanese room and the French dinner and breakfast in the dining room overlooking the mountain. The foord and service were great.
