It's like a hostel with common rooms to meet people, but everyone has their own room to sleep. I loved the retro look the house has and the hosts were super nice and forthcoming and made sure that everything was alright. I also appreciated the self check-in. Basically it feels like you're sharing a house in Austria in the 70s.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cafe Lorenz, certainly helped by the fact that there is delicious bakery adjoining. There is ample parking and our room was very pleasant and clean. We had an ample breakfast. The family owned hotel is perfect for a stay in Hohenems. We can certainly recommend it.

A nice, cozy conference-hotel with a mountain-view in a small town - a great place for overnight! Spacious parking, quiet place (although it has a stadium right in front, but you won't be bothered if any noises occurs), great breakfast.

I had a major flood in my room. I have repeatedly reached out to management to discuss the flooding and the strong smell of sewage and urine in the room but they have repeatedly ignored my requests for a discussion. I will gladly change this review if the management contact me.

It was basic accomodation at the right location for a stopover on a long trip. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
It's very close to the swiss border, but at a fraction of the price of any other property in St.Gallan, Bregenz, etc.
It proved "adequate", but was not comfortable. The rooms and property are clean and maintained.
Easy access to the highway, and multiple dining options within walking distance made it a suitable budget stopover stay to break up a long drive.

- Cleaner than some Tibetian monestries
- The bath is nice
- When te windows are closed, the sound of the highway is hardly noticable in the bedroom. Really better than expected!
- Freezing compartment can be opened any way to want, sometimes it opens fully automatic.

Fantastic hotel, great location for a stop over. Two restaurants about 20m away. Room was spacious and very clean. The view from the window (back side of the hotel) - OMG!!!! Staring straight at the Austrian Alps !! Stunning. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were lovely.
