Excellent view from the bothy, maximal comfort, friendly staff, great location.

Loved the decorations, the wood stove, and the comfortable beds! The communications were great. We appreciated the thoughtful treats upon arrival! Hospitality was excellent. The kitchen was a bit narrow but perfectly functional. Some cookware needed a thorough cleaning. I mentioned it to the host, who accepted responsibilities and was very graceful. The building is traditional and beautiful. We only stayed one night in December. Would go back and would recommend it to anyone.

The Airds Hotel is perfectly situated on the loch side with views across the bay to the mountains beyond. The staff are welcoming and showed us to our room pointing out where the breakfast room is on the way. The room was very spacious and well appointed with storage, a lovely en suite and a very comfortable bed. Large breakfast menu to choose from and is beautifully made and served.

Location and ambience. Also the authentic feel of being on an island and a Scottish castle.

The cottage is lovely and well-equipped. The weather was pretty wet during our stay so we didn’t take advantage of some of the facilities. The area has loads of lovely walks (and bike rides, as far as we could tell). We didn’t meet Fiona, but she was quick to respond to questions and to offer suggestions by text. The guest book in the cottage is also full of helpful suggestions from previous guests. We appreciated the welcome gifts on the table when we arrived.

The owners were very helpful. If you go to Scotland for a great experience with nature and scenery, this place will set you up for it. Beautiful property and the area itself is great for wildlife and dramatic scenery. The owners were very helpful with suggestions and the home is warm and welcoming.
