United KingdomExcellent stay! Really nice property with a very large open plan kitchen living area. We were visiting on a work trip and the large dining table was just what we needed to work on. Nice to have a pint of milk and a few light bites when we arrived (and cold bottle of wine in the fridge). Beds were comfy and nice decoration. Village has a shop and quality pub for food and drink. Nick and his wife are close by if needed.

United KingdomMy partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day stay at Acorn Cottage, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The location is fantastic, being close to the legendary Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, offering opportunities for beautiful walks and exploring the area. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The owner was absolutely amazing – so welcoming and helpful. The cottage itself was perfect; it had everything we could possibly need and more. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had an absolutely fantastic time, and it made our Valentine's Day extra special. The location was also ideal, being close to both a pub and local shops, which was very convenient. We will definitely be booking Acorn Cottage again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway, especially those wanting to explore the beauty of Sherwood Forest.

CanadaI loved everything about my stay at this very cosy cottage (well named indeed!). In fact, I would be happy to move in. It felt so much like a home and I wished it were autumn or winter so I could bask in front of a roaring fire! Luckily it is England so there was a little rain and I enjoyed snuggling into the chesterfield with a blanket and tea that evening.
The property was very easy to access, super private and Sam was really a great communicator. Everything was spotless. It is in a fantastic location. I also loved having an entire room for my clothes and dressing. It's great to be able to hang things up when you're travelling.
I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. Outstanding!

The staff were lovely! The manager waited up for us to arrive after we had some trouble with our booking due to the check in time, was very attentive and made sure I was comfortable at 38 weeks pregnant!
The room was clean, spacious & the breakfast was delicious. Would stay again, thank you!

The East Wing at Rufford Park Lodge was great for everything we needed. It was a great location for a local wedding venue Hazel Gap Barn. It also had great facilities for our group who were staying we had everything we needed and the hot tub was a great addition. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there was lots of space for everyone who stayed. When we arrived everything was exceptionally clean and well looked after. We very much enjoyed our stay and would be back!

The lodge is in a private courtyard which is beautifully maintained. The rooms are all really spacious and raky comfortable. We had some contact with the owner beforehand and they were fantastic to deal with.

This house is stunning! It was an absolute privilege to be able to stay and was perfect for a small group of colleagues or friends/family. I particularly loved the huge kitchen and family room. We will hopefully be back in the summer.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. The downstairs facilities, the bar, the restaurant were really good. All the staff were efficient, polite and extremely friendly. The location of the property was perfect.

Liked everything about this stunning apartment, easy access to your own parking and location is great being on the high street close to shops ,restaurants and bars. The mezzanine bedroom is absolutely fantastic looking down to the main living area. The attention to detail was first class , they provide everything here . My daughter loved their lotions they provided and even googled what is was to order her own!

The Forest Lodge is perfectly situated within a very short walk of Sherwood Forest with helpful and attentive staff. We had a slight mix up with our rooms however; the landlady, once aware, was very quick to act and went above and beyond to resolve the situation with no fuss at all. The food was brilliant and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.

The hotel is well situated for a short stay in the area, with ample free parking The Room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The facilities. there is a restaurant and a bar where you can also eat, the food was very good and high quality. Breakfast was very good.

All staff we spoke to were lovely and polite and so helpful, especially as we probably looked lost the whole time about where to go! The room was incredibly clean, couldn't fault it, and probably one of the best showers I've had in a hotel!
