Lovely spacious rooms. The pool is great and the staff are really friendly although I feel it should have been re-tiled it's now like lino and it's lifting up already and looks badly finished off around the edges. Love that dogs are welcome.

I think that the pub and inn have lots of local charm. It is fun to stay around there. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I look forward to coming back in the future!

Beautiful building. Accomodation is situated on top of an amazing bar. It was very clean and staff was super friendly and helpful.

Can't beat the location. In the centre and easy to find. Good communication from the service and instructions were straight forward. Shower was great, with an overhead option. Bed comfy and room spotless.

Loved EVERYTHING!! From the awesome Sunday roast dinner in the pub to the beautiful view of the sunset from our bedroom, the Fenwick was on our top 3 list during our UK visit! Friendly staff, great facilities and wonderful country atmosphere.

Location and room superb, breakfast basic but appreciated

Location excellent. Key safe access works well. Very clean. Smart modern appartment. Great shower. Biscuits and shower gel and shampoo nice. Lots of nice towels. Good views of the city buildings from the windows. Little hob and microwave would be handy for a longer stay.

I absolutely loved my stay! The host is such a kind and lovely woman, and the room was exactly like the photos—if not better, thanks to how cozy and welcoming it felt. I honestly didn’t want to leave. The location is also great, just about a 16-minute walk from the city centre, so it’s easy to pop out for groceries, cook a meal, watch TV, and enjoy the charming small-town vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back here often. In the city centre, near Dalton Square, the host also has a property with a restaurant called Borough, and the food there was fantastic as well. Hanna, if you ever have any special offers, please count me in!

A beautiful old hall (more like a castle). The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and the staff (especially George and Rachel) were brilliant... they couldn't do enough for us, very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was fab - both breakfast and dinner. We highly recommend this place!

The location was ideal. Right in the middle of everything. The jacuzzi bath was easy to use. The bed was super comfy. The staff were brilliant. They decorated the room for mine and my boyfriend stay at no extra cost. I love the attention to detail such as coffee, tea and biscuits. A nice wide range of drinks. Plates and cutlery out incase you order in. Loved the robes and glasses next to the hot tub. Very fast replies from the WhatsApp account. I cleared my directions by accident they sent them again within 5 minutes!!! I like that an emergency number is provided. It was a very special stay!

We are Canadians currently living and working in Germany. Everything was just as expected — the place was spotless, the booking came with clear instructions, and the service was highly professional. We came to visit the Lake District and found this location to be a great base for exploring nearby attractions. The pod was practical and cozy, and it worked perfectly for us as a couple with two kids. Highly recommended — thank you!
