We stayed at Lo Smarrino for three nights, and it honestly felt like a slice of heaven. Nestled in a breathtaking valley and surrounded by pure nature, the peace and beauty of this place are beyond words. At night, we fell asleep to the gentle sounds of owls hooting and deer calling in the distance—an experience that felt completely magical. The owners are some of the kindest, most welcoming people we’ve ever met. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly at home. We were also greeted by their two incredibly friendly dogs, a cat that behaves like a dog (in the best possible way!), and stunning horses—each adding to the charm and character of this special place. It’s also just a short drive to Gubbio, a beautiful town full of history, delicious food, and perfect for day trips. If you’re looking for peace, nature, beauty, and genuine hospitality, we cannot recommend Lo Smarrino enough. It’s a place you’ll never forget and will absolutely want to return to.

The beautiful building and amazing scenery was the perfect backdrop for our holiday. Andrea and Mama were delightful, providing helpful tips on the area and created such delicious food for us. We ate so well for breakfast each morning, it was a highlight! The kids were a fan of the pool and the adorable cats, especially beautiful Stella. And the pasta making class was so fun! We all had such a lovely stay at Casale Rancaglia and would love to visit again

Very kind and welcoming hosts. The apartment is in the ZTL historical center zone, so great location as well. Ground floor, no lifting needed. Neat and well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, can't ask for more.
