Rooms in Sesto Calende

The rooms were very clean and the historic building was lovely. We appreciated that while the rooms were renovated and up to date that some of the original walls and features were left visible highlighting the history of the building. The owner was gracious and friendly. We had to check out early for a flight and were offered breakfast which was made the night before and delivered to our room for us to have in the morning.

Excellent budget hotel not far from Arona and the Lake Maggiore (you still need a car to get there). Very clean, relatively large rooms and - despite being close to the Sempione - surprisingly quiet. All in all truly excellent value for the money.

It was a best decision to have a night in this hotel between flights. Free shuttle. It was very warm in the room in winter.

The staff was excellent, very helpful. Great room with a large porch and an amazing view of the lake. The hotel is located on the main road, right in front of the train station yet it was very quiet inside. Finally a hotel with good lighting! The hotel has a very good restaurant. Location - perfect. Easy to get to from Milan by train. We had a very enjoyable stay. Hope to come back soon.

Sesto Calende is a fantastic base to explore the region around Lago Maggiore. The apartment is well located near the river - a quick walk to local bars and restaurants. The host was friendly and punctual and we could not fault the apartment. Just a short drive to Malpensa on our last day. This town and the apartment were a terrific find which suited our driving holiday in NW Italy.

The apartment is complete, with everything you need for a longer stay. Very clean, organized, quality equipment, well ventilated and comfortable. The location is perfect for me because it is close to the Leonardo Helicopters Training Center (5 minutes walking), shops, restaurants, cafes and supermarket but in a quiet place. In addition to having a very welcoming and helpful service.
