Emer was a wonderful host! She really ensures there is a good vibe and will match you up with other travellers (if you want of course) so you can do activities together. Large, clean rooms and you can do your laundry for free as well which was needed ;-) Amazing, social place to stay and I even booked extra nights here as I had such a great time here. Very quiet even though it’s less than 10 minutes walk from eating street. The property itself is super clean and has all that is required for a 3-4 day visit to Zhangjiajie National Park.

Scenery views right from the room, perfect location inside the park. Such a warm welcoming atmosphere, like visiting grandma) the owners running the guesthouse they don’t just serve, but care. They were extremely helpful and even provided perfect itinerary for exploring the area. Once I got lost there, they helped me to find the route by guiding me through wechat. The food was homemade style and the tea was something special. The guesthouse location is perfect for reaching out both sides, northern and southern parts of the park.

Excellent hotel close to the tram up Tianmen of Mountain. Great rooms and excellent breakfast buffet. And a 24 hour spa.

OMG this property was amazing you guys! Stop looking if you want to be at the south gate of the national park. This location is perfect! Clean friendly staff that will give you rides and cook for you!

We had a wonderful, relaxing experience at "your quiet place", whose name reflects exactly what it is: a charming, tranquil guesthouse in one of the smaller valleys very close to the Zhangjiajie national park, where the only thing you can hear at night is the small river flowing next to the property. The pictures of our room reflected exactly what we had: the room was extremely clean, spacious, and had very comfy beds. But the best thing about the property is by far the lovely young couple that manages it: they went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, from arranging a ride from and to the train station, to suggesting an itinerary for our two-day stay at the park. Language barriers will not be a problem, as for any more intricate topic of conversation, they have some amazing translating gadgets that keep everything flowing smoothly (we thought it was very fun to be able to exchange stories like that!). They cooked homemade dinners with fresh ingredients every night, and good breakfasts to start the day (with dumplings as well if you want a full immersion!); they are flexible in accommodating your requests. Finally, they have a border collie puppy that might make you want to stay home to play with him instead of going to the national park!!

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They arranged pickup from the airport, which made everything very easy for us, and they also helped us get tickets for the parks we wanted to visit. Overall, the service was excellent and the staff really went out of their way to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff is very kind and friendly, always trying to help us with our needs. The room is the same or even better than what is presented in the photos. Next time in Zhangjiajie I will come back here.

I like about the beautiful view

The hotel is a family busniness, run by Jack and his father. They were both extrememly welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable there, even without us asking. They gave us advice on what to see in the national park and how to get around, and drove us to a good place to eat breakfast and the park entrance each day. Jack speaks good English, and even helped us order food at a market in town and offered to do so again the next day. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and excellent value for money. Overall, a great experience.

Everything is very good, the room is comfortable, everything you need is in the hotel, the owners themselves helped with all the bookings of tourist places. Very grateful, we recommend

The hosts were very welcoming and kind. They helped us with excursions, picked us up from the airport, and made us feel really comfortable. The breakfasts were also very delicious. Even though the hosts didn’t speak much English, we easily found a way to communicate and understand each other. They even organized a calligraphy masterclass for us, which was such a special experience.

The property is spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly, offering assistance in many arrangements such as national park ticketing and local transportation.

Very nice place. I’m not sure if it was a couple who owned that place or worked there but they were very kind and helpful. They will help you with great pleasure. I highly recommend:)

The property is just amazing, beautiful rooms, spectacular landscape and on the top of that, Li (the owner) is just the best. Ex tour guide and pure local, he knows everything around. He is happy to help you anytime without asking anything. Honestly we couldn’t expect more than what we did.

It is best for Tianmen Mountain, a few minutes walk to the cable car entrance. The hosts are very attentive. She can speak very good English. She is a gem and very knowledgeable about all the places and proposes tailor-made plans depending on weather and preferences with real-time updates. She helped everything for us: entrance tickets, transportation, pick-up etc. I really appreciate that.

Tujia Folk Houses was an incredible place to stay for our visit to Zhangjiajie. We stayed for two nights while we visited the park and Tianmen Mountain. Tina our host was incredible - she picked us up from the railway station, booked our tickets to the park and mountain, and even wrote out a whole itinerary to guide our visits there, which was incredibly helpful. For this reason, as well as railway station pickup, I would highly recommend connecting with Tina on WeChat before arriving. The house can be a bit hard to find/take a Didi to, so it makes much more sense for her to get you from the station. She also cooked amazing dinners which could be ordered at the guesthouse, and breakfast which came with it. The pool was also lovely, with a view of the Gateway to Heaven! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the guesthouse property was a cool local place to stay. Everything about our stay was wonderful, I truly cannot recommend Tujia Folk Houses enough.

The location is good actually near malls and shops and good food. The owner provided us also good itinerary which very helpful. Big space for big groups
