I had a wonderful stay at Svastha. The location is beautiful—surrounded by lush nature yet just a short walk from town. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the whole space has such a peaceful, grounding energy. I loved the yoga and Ayurveda café concept — the classes, food, and overall atmosphere felt authentic and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen and common areas made it easy to feel at home. The yoga teachers and facilitators were excellent — truly embodying the spirit of yoga and community. A great place to rest, connect, and recharge. Highly recommend!

Large house. Very well kept with everything you might need. Easy to check in / out. Nice balcony. Situated close to the center of the town and on top of a small bakery with very friendly staff.

​I was searching for a place to truly connect with nature, work in peace, and meet like-minded, positive people. This place was absolutely all of that and so much more! From the tranquil surroundings to the welcoming atmosphere, it exceeded every expectation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and fulfilling getaway!

The location is farther from the area with music, restaurants, and traffic, so it's perfect for relaxing in silence, yet you can still reach the restaurants on foot without any problem. There is one sloth, actually two, that choose the hotel garden as a daytime sleeping spot, so you also get a private, close-up encounter with a sloth. The host is great and can give you tips to tailor your Costa Rica experience.

One of our favorite hostels. I traveled with my boyfriend this week. The hostel itself is located literally in the jungle, about 6-10 minute walk from the beach. It’s not located in Puerto Viejo itself it’s a bit outside, but we enjoyed the quiet. To get to Puerto we rented bikes (15 min ride) and quads (7 min ride). In the hostel the vibes are great, the owners made everyone feel like family. It was important to them that the place is of high quality- clean, and that you personally feel comfortable! I would love to come again, thank you!!

Absolutely beautiful! Saw so many little animals on the property

It was nicely taken care of. There were a ton of birds in the trees! The pool was clean and refreshing. The location was good as it was away from the noise of town but an easy walk to get there. Also, it was only a 2-3 minute walk from our gate to arrive at the Finca Permaculture which was worth the visit.

Everything was perfect, nice quiet place away from the main road and the crowded city but still very close to everything you need!

Superb staff.. They took me in like family! The lady who got me checked in was so nice and gracious! The cottages are lovely. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. I loved the thought and care that went into fitting these cottages for a stay in a place teeming with plants, animals, and bugs. A walk with their gardener is an absolute must! Aureliano is such a warm, friendly man and he takes great pains to introduce you to the flora and fauna around. If you visit, stay for at least 2 nights to really enjoy the space! A night's stay isn't adequate.
