This place is truly serene, located lakeside and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Hikkaduwa, yet still easily accessible by a short tuk-tuk or bike ride. If you love nature and a calm atmosphere, this is definitely the right place. The territory and the garden is truly beautiful. On top, we saw so many different birds on the hotel grounds, and even more if you take a catamaran boat trip at sunrise or sunset (highly recommended!). Shyam and everyone working at the hotel are incredibly hospitable and kind (including Charlie the dog!), making us feel at home straight away. The room and the entire property are beautiful, and the breakfast - served on your own terrace or by the lakeside - is truly amazing and very generous. We would happily come back again 🙂

pretty big, especially for this price. it had a kitchen and refrigerator and plates and everything. the place was spotless and clean. it's just a few minutes away by walking from the beach. everything i needed for a much lower price than expected.

Really nice place to stay. beautiful territory. Very clean. There are no insects in the room, it is most important for me. Near the shops and main street. 10 minutes to walk to the nice beaches. Next time would stay only this villa. The owners of the villa is helpfull. Ask them about transfer and places to visit, and they helped me. Thank you. See you next time!

To start with, this was our fourth trip to beautiful Sri Lanka and Hikkaduwa, so we have plenty of places to compare it to. The photos looked so good—they really made this villa stand out from others in Hikkaduwa—but there weren’t any reviews yet. It wasn’t a huge risk, but the sense of intrigue definitely stayed with us until we checked in! Right from the start, I was impressed that the owner approved our early check-in request. As soon as we landed on the island, I saw a message saying they were already waiting for us. We were met by a lovely elderly woman; she didn’t speak much English, but we had no trouble understanding each other through gestures. She handed over the keys and told us that "Madam Nilanthi"—who manages the cleaning and looks after the villa—would arrive later. Nilanthi came by after lunch. She is incredibly kind, modest, and helpful, always assisting us with any questions we had. She cleaned the beautiful villa grounds and the interior every morning and regularly changed our bed linens. Speaking of the villa grounds — they are exactly as shown in the photos, and even better, as the plants have grown a bit more. The grass is wonderful to walk on barefoot or just to lie on with a towel. Inside, the villa is also exactly like the pictures — zero deception. It’s minimalistic and sleek, yet clean and well-maintained. The ceilings are high enough that we didn't even need to use the air conditioning (which was important to us). Both bedrooms are more or less identical, equipped with new AC units and ceiling fans. The beds are comfortable, and the linens are snow-white and pleasant to the touch. The bathroom is also clean and spacious. The kitchen is simply excellent; it has absolutely everything you need for cooking and has a very European look, which was a pleasant surprise! Overall, this villa became a true oasis of relaxation for us. It was always a pleasure to return here after the beach and spend the midday heat in comfort.
