Fantastic location. Brilliant family villa, on the beach near turtle beach and a short tuktuk to Unawatuna.

It is a dream villa!!!! Magnificent garden that made you want to get home as soon as possible so you could enjoy some cold coffee in the terrace and stare at the garden. Everything was super clean and well taken care of. The villa was extremely clean, big (the pictures don't do it justice) and had everything one could need. Veeeery comfortable beds, good shower and a huge kitchen. Special thanks to Jamie who made our holiday even more special and the host Asanka who was there for any question we might had.

The location was perfect. I loved that it was nestled away out of town but still a short walk into central unawatuna and jungle beach. We loved the peaceful, tranquil nature of the place. The villas are spacious and clean with everything you need. The infinity pool is amazing and local wildlife is easy to spot from the pool and villa. The price point is excellent and Gayan is happy to assist with anything you need. We used a local tuk tuk driver Isanka to get us around when we didn’t want to walk. He gave us great rates and even organized our trip to the airport. Things to do! Highly recommend jungle beach, swimming with turtles at wijaya beach, turtle hatching release at unawatuna and also Wasantha’s cooking school just down the road. You will enjoy your stay here.

Great place for staying. Road to beach every time was different, because I’d seen different nature, animals. So it was like journey every day. There were good facilities for living, and great garden in the area, and really kind host

We were welcomed with fresh orange juice. I was surprised by the place. A very peaceful place to stay. We arrived in the evening. We wanted to stay for a few days. But we didn't have time. The hostess was very helpful. She told us about all the places in the Unawatuna area. We were especially grateful for the comfortable bed. The breakfast was even better than we expected.

You can’t get any closer to the waves. Just three rooms right on the shore. Spacious and clean, filling breakfast, absolutely lovely staff. 5 min walk to Dalawella beach, where the water is always calm enough to swim and you can rent an umbrella for shade. Perfect spot to rest and rejuvenate.

its Right on the beach, it was very peaceful and you could walk along to see the turtles very easily. I loved sitting out and watching the waves. The breakfast was brilliant, fresh fruit, perfectly fried egg, toast, coconut pancakes and tea. The host was so friendly and accommodating and helpful

We only stayed there for a couple of days, but we were extremely pleased with our experience. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and polite, always ready to help with a smile. He also offers scooter rentals, which was a great convenience for exploring the area. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and we felt right at home. Very near to Unawatuna beach. The host was very friendly, helpful and supportive. Loved the spacious, modern rooms with stunning city views and super comfortable beds; the location was perfect, right in the heart of the historic district with shops and attractions just steps away.

Our stay at Golden Palm Villa Unawatuna was absolutely fantastic. The villa is beautifully designed, spacious, and very clean. The swimming pool was well maintained and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The rooms were comfortable with all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. We had a very nice stay. The propery is unique and picturesque. The host was very helpful and arranged a perfect vegetarian breakfast for us. Must book when in unawatuna.

Very calm and relaxing stay. Super helpful owner always quick to reply when questions asked and even offered to find drivers for us at a local price for all the long distance trips we took from there. Clean property and really nice house with everything you would need for a holiday whether it is with your family or a group of friends!

We loved everything about staying here. The bungalows are well-equipped and designed, everything is super clean and neat, the pool is clean and shaded in the afternoon, the breakfast is completely delicious and was different every morning, the property is well-located with a peaceful and restorative village-vibe but close enough to beaches/restaurants for dinners out, and our son was very well catered for. Our hosts were truely excellent. They provided excellent advice on activities, drivers and restaurants. Completely brilliant - would highly recommend and return.

We had an amazing stay at Syara Villa in Thalpe, Unawatuna. The villa is incredibly beautiful, with a charming rural aesthetic that gives a peaceful and relaxing vibe — perfect for escaping the noise of the city for a few days. The architecture is simply outstanding and adds so much character to the place. The location is also very convenient, as the beach is just a short walking distance away. The villa is ideal for a group of three and offers a very comfortable and cozy stay. Mahee was an exceptional host, and his entire family was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Mahee and his mother, who made our stay even more memorable with their warmth and hospitality. We truly enjoyed our time there — it was such a fun and heartwarming experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Syara Villa to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway in Unawatuna. We would definitely love to come back again!

I booked this room for a friend, so I'm forwarding her review: The first impression was mixed, the room is small, but there's a huge bed with snow-white bed linen and a canopy. Then there was breakfast: fried eggs, toast with butter and jam, coffee with milk and a large plate of fresh fruit for dessert. And then we started to fall in love with this place)) The beach is a 5-minute walk away. You can always sit at a table on the common terrace. It was especially atmospheric in the evenings in the company of the hotel owner, Neil. It was very interesting to talk with such an open, cheerful and hospitable person, and completely unobtrusive. Neil helped with all the issues (renting a bike, a car, transfer). I have extremely positive impressions of staying in this place. Neil, hope to see you again!))
