Self-Catering Accommodations in Uzbekistan

My stay at Hotel Turist Samarkand was absolutely delightful, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed, not like a guest at a hotel but like a visitor in a caring family home. The hotel is family owned, and this truly shows in every detail. The owners and staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, offering help with directions, recommendations, and anything else you might need. Their hospitality feels sincere and heartfelt, which made my stay especially memorable. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast. It was generous, fresh, and delicious, with a wonderful variety of local and homemade options. Everything was prepared with care, and it was the perfect way to start each day before exploring Samarkand. You can really feel the love and effort put into the food. The hotel itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, providing a relaxing atmosphere after a day of sightseeing. The overall ambiance is warm and calm, making it easy to unwind and feel at home. It’s the kind of place where you actually look forward to returning in the evening. The location is also very convenient, allowing easy access to Samarkand’s main attractions while still being quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. In summary, Hotel Turist Samarkand offers outstanding hospitality, a wonderful breakfast, and a cozy, welcoming environment. If you are looking for a place with heart, authenticity, and excellent care, this hotel is a perfect choice. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Samarkand.

If I could rate with more than 10, I would definitely do. During my stay in Samarkand, I got food poisoning, and the help, kindness, and support from the host saved the day. They brought me food and medication, arranged an ambulance, and helped with communication in the hospital - they literally did everything - and I am more than grateful to them. Aside from that, the rooms are spacious, bright, they have AC, the country yard is very tranquil, and the hotel is located 10-15  minutes walking from main attractions. I would definitely recommend the place and would stay here again if I return to Samarkand!!!

Walking distance to all the sites. The owner Ali was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious everyday and they gave us vegetarian plates. Nce courtyard to meet and talk to others if you wish. We recommend without hesitation.

The host, the location and the hospitality - everything was excellent

Don't look any further for staying in Nukus--this apartment is the best! We stayed at a hotel highly recommended by our guidebook the first night in Nukus, then we did the Aral Sea adventure, and stayed in this apartment afterward. What a difference! The hotel was so plain and ordinary and cost $67 US. This apartment is huge, super-clean, nicely decorated, and cost almost 40% less. And it's in a great location right across from the famous art museum and about a 10-minute walk to the big bazaar. Plus, the Owner is such a great guy--he did undergraduate and graduate studies in USA on a wrestling scholarship. (We would have loved to invite him to dinner to get to know him better, but our taxi was coming and we had to leave.) A great experience and we wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the living room with huge TV and the fully-equipped kitchen. It's a no-brainer--stay here!

It is perfect! The place is just wonderful and Sharif and his family are extremely kind. You will never find a better value for your money anywhere in the world and believe us, we have travelled.

The location of hostel is good. The cleanliness is exceptional. The layout for 3 people is optimal. AC at 25 C cools the room. It’s one apartment setup for 1 family for not more than 3 people. My family liked it very much
