This was the quintessential Tuscan experience, the house has exceptional views of the countryside, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. The trip to get there was an experience in itself, with spectacular views at every turn of the road. The house is Tuscan style (hence the "Podere" name) and it is exquisitely partitioned and appointed, giving it an authentic feeling. There is nothing like waking up in the morning, puling the window shades and watching the most beautiful Tuscan countryside. We rented this place and then did day trips to Florence and Sienna and particularly appreciated the cooler, quieter countryside when we got back. If you like biking or hiking, this is one of the best places in Tuscany; hike for 500 meters (easy hike) and you get to an olive oil and/or local authentic winery farm. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and made our stay so much better with his recommendations. We could not recommend the property and the owner more! Grazzie mille!

We absolutely loved our two week stay and will return next year. We loved the house, the terrace of the house with stunning views, we absolutely loved the location, the vast olive orchards, the forrest around , the peace and quiet, the pool, the lake with the geese and ducks and a heron. The host was kind, helpful a d very responsive. The farm's olive and wine were amazing too. There is a restaurant nearby that the host recommended that had great food. We stayed with our pets, the whole environment is very pet friendly which we hugely appreciate. We made a couple of day trips to San Gimignano and Voltera. Both beautiful places. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and will return again.
