The host, Anthony, was exceptional. Went out of his way as simply the manager or desk clerk to become a personal concierge who booked a tee time for me for golf after researching the courses available + answered my call after hours after I locked myself out of the room without a key. He previously accompanied my request to store luggage during my departure and stay at Lady Elliott Island for scuba diving. Also, he had my left behinds available immediately upon my return. No, there's no big lobby or fancy chandeliers, but there's also a nice clean, comfortable warm room where I can recover before my next activity. Did I mention also that Anthony was very informative as o activities and locations for same question he did.

We've stayed here a few times now and always get a lovely greeting. Super comfy beds, scrupulously clean and even though it's close to the main road, we don't hear any road noise at all.

Very busy place - very little to no accommodation when...

Very busy place - very little to no accommodation when needed. Only stayed short time as went to visit other places around area - 1770 and Childers - with great accommodation and very nice and friendly staff.

Very handy for boarding for the sea trip to Lady Musgrave...

Very handy for boarding for the sea trip to Lady Musgrave Island. A quiet village so don't expect a busy night life. No restaurants to speak of, the closest being in Bargara a 15 minute drive away. There is a hotel, supermarket and petrol station there. Also a 15 minute drive to small city of Bundaberg.

We had a beautiful stay in Bargara.

We had a beautiful stay in Bargara. The location is perfect, right by the ocean with stunning views and easy access to cafes and walking paths. The area feels peaceful and safe, ideal for families and relaxing getaways. The apartment was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the pool and spa were a lovely bonus. Sunrises and sunsets were absolutely breathtaking from the balcony. If anything, a few small details in the apartment could be updated, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. Would definitely recommend Bargara for a relaxing coastal escape and would happily return.

Bundaberg is a thriving country town with a huge array of...

Bundaberg is a thriving country town with a huge array of shops in the centre of town. It also has some well-preserved historic buildings and beautiful garden features. Then there's the Rum Distillery to visit and the Bundaberg Brewed Drinks Factory as well - guided tours available at both. We enjoyed taking a short drive to the beach town of Bargara and wish we'd also visited Burnett Heads. At Bargara, there are lots of seafood cafes and other coffee shops in the main street and along the beautiful esplanade, which has lots of picnic areas and walking paths right by the sea - all very attractive.

After the recent flooding and rain, the ocean water was...

After the recent flooding and rain, the ocean water was quite muddy. The beaches do have a lot of rocks but there are sandy patches where it's good to swim. Ricks restaurant was a great place to eat and also had very good coffee. The cool seabreeze made the foreshore and Ricks a very pleasant place to sit and relax. The foreshore is nicely done up and a pleasant spot to spend time.

A short drive to Bargara, a great spot. The botanical gardene are amazing. The tourist spots were fun. The restaurants and cafes are of high quality food. The river has lovely views. Plenty to do and see. Cant wait to return. The leisure centre , bundy bowl is great for older children. The taverns and clubs have great menus and meals. Good service at all food venues was exceptional.

It was close to activities mainly based at Bundaberg and Mon Repos, the local shops and cafes/restaurants were more than adequate as well as groceriry stores and other ammenities. There are plent yof beaches in fairly close proximity but you will need a car.
