There is plenty to do in Corowa.
There is plenty to do in Corowa. Fishing, golfing, and tennis are big. The community club is very good. The wineries in the district are first class. There are a good selection of hotels, some restaurants and takeaways. Corowa is close to other towns and the City of Albury.

It's a smallish town with friendly residents and visitors.
It's a smallish town with friendly residents and visitors. Plenty of pretty walks that are not too taxing. The river is there for boating, swimming and admiring. It's close to Corowa if you need shops and lots of wineries if you fancy touring and tasting.

Highly recommend Pickers Cafe for breakfast (zucchini and corn fritter stacks with avocado is my choice).
Tulleries at De Bortelli is my favourite - my 3rd time back there in 18 months (and we live 1.5 hours away).
Grace is also a great place to lunch. The township has a lovely vibe. Where we stayed was an easy walk to the main street.
The park with the war memorial is worth a look. Easy access to public toilets.
The IGA liqour has a great range of local wines. Cafe Mechanica has a great motorcycle museum and cafe

Bundalong is a central location for many of the fine Murray River courses plus Wangaratta and Benalla.
The villa was a much cheaper option than staying at the larger clubs.

Corowa is a typical Australian country town.
Corowa is a typical Australian country town. The people are friendly. There aren’t enough shops or places to eat. You need to travel a distance if you want a choice. We did like The Noodle House for both a coffee and a meal. The Barrel and Brew is quite good for coffee. Disappointed the Australia Hotel was not open for dinner Sunday night over a long holiday weekend. But Corowa is nice and close to Rutherglen and the wineries.

Sitting on the verandah watching the Murray River slowly...
Sitting on the verandah watching the Murray River slowly flow past was the respite I needed.
Riverside is a great peaceful and picturesque location.
Our room was well equipped, and the bathroom was clean and modern.
We were busy all weekend with a wedding across the river in Corowa, but Sunday afternoon, with all duties and celebrations concluded, we could relax and enjoy this lovely location.
I am keen to return for an extended stay, as there is so much to explore and enjoy around here

We stayed en route between Sydney and Ballarat for one night...
We stayed en route between Sydney and Ballarat for one night. It looks a very pretty town with a fab gastronomy pub The Vic and cellar doors nearby which we didn’t have the chance to visit. It was a good place to stop with our dog as our accommodation, Must Love Dogs and our dinner location in the beer garden of the vic were both super dog friendly.

Got Vinnies op shop there very cheap nice staff.
Lots of yummy coffee and food shops, a few pubs and clubs. Very lay back country town.

A real find!
A real find! Enjoyable walks along the banks of the Murray River and delicious meals at the local Fish cafe. Everyone was very friendly and happy to chat. A small town that gave us a memorable experience. Riverside motel has an extensive grassed area beside the river with cooking bays and table/ chair sets. The view from our room was very peaceful. Rutherglen is an interesting small town in the north east of...
Rutherglen is an interesting small town in the north east of Victoria and vineyard country. Many old and well maintained houses and commercial buildings. A pleasant main street with interesting shops and good coffee. A walking scale town and a great stop-over between Canberra and Melbourne, especially if you are not in a hurry and like to drive off the main roads.
