We loved our stay at Spring Valley Cottage. Very clean, very updated and nicely styled. It was peaceful and quiet. The cottage is quite large with great facilities like reverse cycle a/c and tv in each bedroom. The host takes great pride in their property.

The extra touches made it feel like I was a special guest. The atmosphere was exactly what I expected by staying at an historic building. The art, the furnishings and the full breakfast in the fridge was a pleasant surprise and welcome as I had been on the road all day and to be able to cook myself scrambled eggs and maple bacon on toast and stay in for dinner was really good. The little decanter of Port was also delicious, thank you.

Well I think I got upgraded to the king suite. But it was very good. Spacious. Comfy furniture & bed. Excellent pub food at the bottom of the stairs.

Have passed through many times but never stopped.
Have passed through many times but never stopped. Decided to stop for 2 days and oh so glad we did. what a gem of a place.
Last time we went through it was so busy, but now, it has been bypassed, it is a lovely place to linger. there is so much to do. From the helpful staff at the visitors museum (with a welcome cuppa and biccies) that also is the home of an amazing museum, plus Henry Parkes cottage with audio visual and a replica of Elvis's Graceland's gates with mural behind.
Public Art is to be found throughout the town's business precinct. A highly interesting Aircraft museum pen Sundays and Thursdays is a must do.
If you have longer venture along the Lachlan to Condobolin to see the amazing sculpture trail culmination in the utes in the Paddock at Condobolin.
Plenty of accommodation options and lots of lovely places to eat, especially a quaint chinese resturant opposite woolies with amazing food.

Compact town centre with all major shops and facilities...
Compact town centre with all major shops and facilities available. Nice parks plus a beautiful view from the war memorial hill. As per usual with these towns, the locals roar around everywhere in their cars and utes. Nobody seems to walk any more and you have to be extra careful crossing roads because you get very little warning of approaching cars travelling at high speed through the shopping precincts.
