I really liked the hotel as it was in a nice area with many restaurants and cafes. There are a lot of seafood restaurants that make for great dining options. Also, the area is nice and safe which means you can go for a walk whenever and not feel scared. The staff was king and helpful and provided the support I needed.

This hotel is perfect for an overnight stay if you have hospital or other appointments in Almeria.
The bus for the hospital literally goes from outside the door of the hotel every 1/2 hour.

We were driving from the south of Spain to the north along the coast and decided to stay overnight at this hotel. And without exaggeration, we can say that this hotel exceeded all our expectations. I would even say that this is the best place out of 10 that we stayed at along our route (and this included 4-star hotels). The hotel is new, the interior is modern - it looks great and all the facilities work perfectly. There is a swimming pool on the roof (it was not the season yet, but they were already preparing it), and a gym downstairs. And most importantly, right in front of the hotel is a small cozy beach (20 meters, really). Our room had a wonderful view of it. Extremely friendly staff, quite a decent "breakfast", a cafe that is always open. At the same time, the room was quiet and very comfortable (but keep in mind that we were there in April). This is the only hotel on our route where we wanted to stay for a few days (it's a shame that we had to move on). Thanks again to the staff for the warm welcome!
Hotel and its territory is super clean - it seems like the staff is 24/7 focused on keeping it pristine. It's a good all-inclusive for families with kids - 2 large swimming pools, plus a shallow pond and jacuzzi, complemented by 5 large (aquapark level) slides. Lots of lifeguards. Restaurant in good (mainly for Spanish taste); selection is decent - ok for the price, but were were not impressed after being in Magic Natura in Benidorm :-); the only thing is that the grill can be a bit improved.
Reception is super friendly and speaks excellent English, the rest of the staff can handle basic conversation - but please do learn a bit of Spanish, it will help dramatically.
Almost every day there was some special activity - a show with eagles and owls, food degustation, etc. Every few hours there are animators organizing water dances and events - fund for kids.
Fast and good drinks/snacks in the hotel bar and pool-side bars.

Great location for late flight arrivals or early flight departures but we couldn't recommend a stay there.
The onsite restaurant was unexpectedly closed for the "holidays" and we weren't warned up front. This would have been simple enough given that our booking was made months ago.
The aircon wasn't adjustable and couldn't be switched off. It was an absolute icy blast. We were freezing cold all night and had to use towels as extra bed covers and wear additional clothes in bed.

The L30 bus only costs just over a Euro connecting the centre and airport so saves money compared to transport alternatives.
Public transport (Alsa bus) to Mojacar is limited. I had to catch the 9am (the next one being at lunchtime) and return on the last one at 16.50.
The bus station is outside the main town so catch the local bus (L1 or L2) for a Euro or so), otherwise walk in the sun for 20 to 30 minutes(?)
Almeria is a good alternative to resorts on the Costal del Sol etc. being quieter but still has plenty of bars and restaurant as well as the magnificent Alcazaba. Sadly the Civil war shelters are still closed for renovation.

Staff very friendly, and took time to speak, even if our Spanish not that good.
Situated at the top of a mountain, with a small restaurant/cafe opposite.
The food in the hotel was very good, our evening meal was three courses, and breakfast was 25 euros for both

El Cabo de Gata is amazing!
El Cabo de Gata is amazing! It's one of my favourite places in Spain. It's a natural park with lots of cosy small towns and most beaches are set in a natural landscape so you have to make sure you take your own food and drinks with you, depending on which beach you choose.
My favourite ones were playa El Cabo de Gata, playa Las Salinas, and of course Los Genoveses and Monsul (you have to get there really early in the morning to get a spot because they have controlled access during the summer).
We did snorkelling and I wish I had better equipment with me because there are lots of fishies under those waters and they come really close to you!
And I highly recommend doing a boat tour. We took our from Playa de las Salinas and we got in a small motorboat and had a ride around El Cabo. We had a guide who explained what we were seeing, had a stop for a quick swim and got an adrenaline rush!
One last thing, if you go to El Cabo de Gata, please don't litter.Always take your rubbish with you. It crushed my heart to see the amount of rubbish people leave behind. There were lots of plastic bags, cans, cigarette buts and all sorts of rubbish.

Loved the fact that Aguadulce is so different to many other places .Still has very Spanish feel to it .Plenty of small bars and coffee bars around .Not the best place for people with walking difficulties as it’s quite hilly. Not a good place for teenagers as not much night life .lovely scenery and great for walkers. Also for people who like a quiet and relaxing holiday .

Such a lovely town, with helpful staff in tourist offices, charming feeling, history, local culture, handcraft, walking tours, nature, and so on. I would go back. It's not on the seaside but on the bright side you can pick a different beach everyday if you fancy going for a swim!

Small and quiet place. Very new, constructions are going. Would be great to have more greens around. Close to Almería, so it takes only 15-20 minutes to the downtown.
It’s also 25-30 minutes from Mini Hollywood and Fort Bravo.
Would like to return for the caves visit (seems there are 4-5 interesting caves around) as well as huge national park with many spots to visit.

Aguadulce is a nice district; the hotel is not far from a supermarket, not far from the beach and not far from a taxi stand to go to airport of Almeria. The road which leads from Almeria to Aguadulce is in very good conditions. The Tourist Office is very helpful. The park is clean, well kept and has very interesting tropical and hot weather plants and flowers. There is plenty to explore if one wishes to move around... bars and cafeterias have a good variety of offerings.
