Everything. Yamashita went over and above to service me. His home is lovely and fully equipped. Dryer washer with laundry detergent and softener, full washroom amenities, games for children, full kitchen, ac, humidifiers, bath salts for a nice warm bath, list goes on. Would stay here 100% again. Calm quiet neighbourhood

The house is a jewel. The combination of old traditional Japanese house, a lot of wood work, the white separating walls and the surrounding nature allowed us to really calm down.

Very clean and maintained house, with also a very nice and cosy garden. Decorated with style, traditional Japanese style. Kitchen and bathroom are recent and relatively well equipped. The owner is very friendly and responsive, we are very grateful for the hospitality offered.

Despite limited availability of full ocean view on Ooshima, Moana has one of the best views of Sagami Bay and Mount Fuji. The staff was exceptional with that special family feel that you cannot get at larger commercial establishments. Ooshima is one of the few gems left in the Kanto area where you can experience exclusivity in all activities. we had a great time fishing and doing a bit of mountain hiking on the back side of mount Mihara as suggested by the lodge owner.

Wonderful resort and amenities and the dinner and breakfast were both so amazing. front office gentleman and cook were very personable and made me feel comfortable. Bath room was great and I got it to myself which was nice. Room was very spacious. Would stay there again!

The island is lovely and has many outdoor activities. But you will likely need to rent a car to reach some of the more remote areas easily. There are buses and taxis, but you may have to wait quite a bit of time. Many of the restaurants will close during the afternoon and early evening, so be sure to have some snacks prepared or stay in a place with a kitchen.

Oshima is lovely, and so are the people who live there.
Oshima is lovely, and so are the people who live there. Sometimes when we looked as if we were lost, the locals quite quickly came to our rescue by asking how they could help. It is a small island, you can bike around it between 2-4 hours, but there is so much to walk or bike about (or dive or surf or whatever) that 2 or more nights is recommended to enjoy the island fully.

The island isn’t big but filled with activities which is great because in just 2/3 days it’s possible to do everything it has to offer. We rented some bikes and used them to travel around, which was fun but I only recommend to someone in good shape because the road are not flat at all, plus wind and sun can make it even tougher. One thing you must try is the ice cream, which is probably one of best I have ever eaten
