Extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Perfect location. 3 minutes walk to morning alms giving ceremony and walking distance to old town centre.

I had a fantastic stay at this family-owned villa, run by an incredibly warm and hospitable young couple. The riverside location is unbeatable and perfectly convenient, just a short walk to the Old Town and most major attractions in Luang Prabang. I was generously upgraded to a spacious room, and the charming balcony with a river view was definitely the highlight. I also really enjoyed having breakfast in the garden. The host is extremely helpful. He even lent me his scooter to go exchange money when I urgently needed cash. Highly recommend!

Ky ishte qëndrimi im i dytë në Villa Phonethip dhe ende ndihem si cepi im i vogël i qetësisë në Luang Prabang. Stafi më kujtoi nga hera e fundit, gjë që ishte një surprizë e ëmbël. Dhoma ishte e pastër si gjithmonë, me një shtrat të rehatshëm dhe një pamje të bukur të lumit. Mëngjesi, ndonëse i shijshëm, nuk ka ndryshuar shumë - do të doja shumë të shihja disa mundësi të reja herën tjetër. Por në përgjithësi, ngrohtësia dhe mirësjellja këtu vazhdojnë të më sjellin përsëri.

Beautiful facility, spacious rooms with a large window onto the terrace. Lovely service and delicious food! Very helpful staff! Free transport to the morning/night market. I recommend it wholeheartedly! The best hotel in Laos.

The history, the location, and amazing staff

Everything was excellent. Laos’ has a different way of rating hotels. This hotel met a rating of 9 on western standards… keeping in mind you are still in Laos

Room was tastefully decorated, spacious, comfortable and quiet.

Oh wow. I wish I could stay here forever. It’s so cozy, and I loved the old-world charm. The place is very well maintained; the wooden floors and walls are in perfect condition. We had two big beds in our room, which were perfect for me, my son, and my nephew. There’s also a cozy balcony overlooking the street. Despite being in a quiet location, everything is walkable! The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. One of the staff members, Ian (apologies if I misspelled your name), showed us a map, gave us tips on how to get around, handled our laundry (which was done in less than 24 hours), and even booked our bus ride to Hanoi. Breakfast is included, though it’s served off-site. You just need to walk a few meters down to a riverside café. The staff there were so thoughtful—they even packed meals for my son and nephew without us asking, since only three of us went and they were expecting five. (There's free water refill here, too!)

Amazing place to stay! If you’re looking for somewhere to relax and rest - this is the place! So many places to rest outside, do yoga, have a nap in the hammock!Awesome staff and restaurant too :)

The overall vibe of the place is superb. The rooms are really fancy and clean. I don’t know why it’s not fully booked. It’s great for its value. The HOSTS!!!! Super kind and helpful and very patient.
