Beach Hotels in St. James

The location makes for such a wonderful cape town trip. The decor is just beautifully done and the flat had all we needed, especially important as were travelling with our 3 year old and still needed to make some meals. Having a garage is such a bonus!

The location was perfect, but just a heads-up: there are about 100 steps up to the parking area, which is the only access point to the unit. Alternatively, you can take roughly 200 steps down to reach the shops and restaurants below.

We loved that we were greeted every time we came down from our rooms. The friendly staff went beyond to make us feel comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious as well as the coffee! It felt like being at home in the very comfortable rooms. We will be back!

Great comfortable beds with a heating function, so really nice on cold days. Wonderful staff, nice interiors and stunning garden. We also met the owners and they could not have been more wonderful.

Location was great, close to the tidal pool for a swim every morning followed by coffee at Chardonnay.

My sister and I stayed at The Lily, we loved the location, stunning views, and proximity to the beach. We felt very safe. The caretaker Donald was extremely helpful and friendly!

The property is in a great location and short walking distance to the many restaurants and coffee shops of Kalk Bay. The property is right opposite Dalebrook Tidal pool which is great for swimming. The facilities in the accommodation are excellent and the self check-in was very easy.

Perfect location just steps to the center of town and yet very quiet and with gorgeous views of the sea. Super comfortable bed, great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff. Book this one and you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely host. Beautifully decorated property with all amenities. Superb view and excellent proximity to shops, restaurants, train station, beach - all less than 5 mins walk. Cleaner / laundry service available if required. Security on site. WiFi available. Sunny balcony and pool area for morning coffee / sundowners. Highly recommend.

I really liked the location of the hostel, the hospitality of the hosts, all the people who frequent the place are very friendly! The energy of the place is just amazing!

Amazing does not even begin to describe this place. 5 stars for the premises, the entire place is kitted out with such care and hospitality that makes one feel like home and much much more. The location I would say is the best in FishHoek, beach is across the road, the water is tequise and warm, supprisingly. The mountain views on both sides is magical. When the costal view passenger train goes past its like something out of a childs dream. There was nothing more we could wish for. We will be back as often as possible.

Very helpful hosts, a nice welcome with excellent granola, yogurt and fruits :). It is well connected if you have a car - close enough to the town and the beach, while easy to connect to the road for Cape Town or elsewhere.
