Location was ideal , just off the A66 half way on my journey South. Definately up there with the best b&b we have stayed at. Very comfortable and peaceful, great breakfast. Loved the scones jam and tea when we arrived.

Located in Barnard Castle and with Bowes Museum reachable within a 10-minute walk, The Cricketers Arms has a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.

Loved the close proximity to the Castle. Very easy walking distance. This is a very old building (i.e. 1600’s). There was a lovely little garden in the back and plenty of space to park. The owner is a very knowledgeable and helpful local who gave us dining suggestions and helped us figure out where everything was.

Beautiful room including a lovely sitting area for coffee and an excellent freshly prepared breakfast. Mark and Nicky were welcoming and a delight to chat with. We will definitely return and recommend to our friends. A must stay when in Richmond.
