The Rose is a great choice for a place to stay walking distance from Richmond in a historic property. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Sunday roast is excellent if you get the chance.

Everything! Nick and Jane, the owners of the pub and the apartments upstairs, were wonderful. Jane especially was a godsend. We had checked into another cottage the previous night and were planning to stay there for 2 nights. However the place turned out to be extremely rundown, dirty and unhygienic. We decided to leave first thing in the morning. Given that it was the easter weekend, it was difficult to find availability in any of the local hotels or AirBnB places. We got lucky to find a room at the Jolly Cooper. I had messaged Jane the previous night at the time of my booking and described our situation with the place we stayed in the first night and expressed my desperation to leave asap. I heard from Jane promptly the next morning. She was extremely understanding and let us check in well before the standard check in time. We were carrying 3 heavy pieces of luggage and Nick was kind enough to help us up the flight of stairs. The apartment itself was extremely clean, modern, well stocked and comfortable. The pub downstairs, and the attached restaurant, was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good! All in all-this is a great place to experience classic English hospitality, good food, drinks and extremely nice and considerate owners, Nick and Jane.

Everything was wonderful - the hotel itself, the location, the staff, so friendly, courteous, efficient, helpful. A wonderful vibe as soon as you walk in - we came in by way of the pub, but there is a different entrance too. Amazingly quiet at night, didn't hear anything. A real neighbourhood, in Wimbledon Village, across from Wimbledon Common, about 12 minutes walk downhill to the tube station, or a short bus ride. Fabulous place. Lots of television stations, a bathtub.

I love the Hand and Flower I always stay there when I go to London, the rooms are so charming and now they have refurbished their rooms it’s amazing. The staff is amazing and the food LOVELY IT 🥰

Great location and ambience with a friendly and helpful staff.

our room was absolutely perfect. We had a chance to stay in a room for my boyfriend’s birthday. The room was located in a space that felt very comforting, and it had a very cool view of the backyard. We felt very warm and comfortable staying at the shandon. we really appreciated the service as well. The hotel staff was very reasonable and responsive and hospitable.

Very conveniently located close to Richmond train station. Hosts were very responsive and made sure there were fans available during the very hot weather. Spacious and nicely decorated apartment.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The place was super clean, really comfortable, and had everything I could possibly need – so well equipped! The location was perfect, and communication with the owner was smooth and friendly from start to finish. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend, and I’d happily stay here again!

We wanted something just outside London, quiet, within walking distance of the tube and something with personality. The Dukes Head Inn checked all the boxes. An added bonus, after our day touring in London we decided to eat at the pub downstairs. It was wonderful.

A basic old style, B and B sharing bathrooms, with a good simple breakfast. A good deal financially for visiting London, but especially if you wish to spend a day at Kew Garden. Several restaurants are within easy reach for evening meal.

Finishing is like brand new. Great location and excellent value

I was here for 2 weeks and the room was great, the service was good, and the drinks are reasonably priced in the pub downstairs. Wi-fi is strong enough to work remotely in the room, and there are tons of meal options close to the hotel if you don't want to eat in the pub every night. I also had no problem getting to central London at most times of the day.
