We drove through Bundanoon and stopped for a nice coffee but...
We drove through Bundanoon and stopped for a nice coffee but didn't have time to explore the town much as we were in the highlands for a wedding. It's such a beautiful area and we'd love to return to explore more. We visited Fitzroy Falls and would like to return to do some of the amazing walks when we have more time.

Scenery in the national park was great, and it was very quiet. We enjoyed going on the walks to various lookouts, although we didn't manage the walk to the Carnarvon Lookout as it was too steep for us.

Very pretty little country town about 15 to 20 minutes drive...
Very pretty little country town about 15 to 20 minutes drive south of Moss Vale, close to lots of beautiful Lookouts, countryside and waterfalls with plain tea of beautiful wildlife. A nice quiet little town. Plenty of attractions around close by from Robertson to Fitzroy Falls to beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Easy to get to on the Hume Highway from Sydney or Goulburn or from Wollongong you can choose Picton Road and the Hume Highway or Macquarie Pass. if you’re coming from Nowra, you can turn off at Berry and go up Nowra Road although it is quite narrow and mountainous with a few tight bends. Or you can get there from Kiama and drive up Jamboroo mountain pass (also very windy and mountainous) and stop at beautiful Minnamurra Falls along the way and go on the beautiful rainforest boardwalk. Carrington Falls is also up on the mountain near Robertson and of course you can’t miss t I visit tohe famous Robertson pie shop. There are too many attractions to mention in this area. It’s a beautiful place to visit and spend a few days. I stayed at the Bundanoon Country Inn, which had extremely competitive nightly rates with large spacious rooms it was very clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend staying there. .

Our visit to Bundanoon Lodge was outstanding.
Our visit to Bundanoon Lodge was outstanding. Bundanoon Lodge is set in a beautiful, well tended garden with plenty of parking on the property. The tree-lined driveway is beautiful and offers a warm welcoming start to your stay at the Lodge. We were greeted by Ruth, who prepared a delicious breakfast for us each day. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room overlooked the broad verandah and out onto the lovely front garden. The amenities at Bundanoon Lodge are lovely. Everything you might possibly need is at your fingertips.
Bundanoon Lodge is a perfect place from which to explore the Southern Highlands and beyond. We visited ‘Bundanon’ near Nowra, originally the home and studio for Arthur Boyd, the famous Australian artist. He and his wife, ‘gifted’ the property and many works of art to the people of Australia. It’s well worth a visit! We also visited the Kangaroo Valley and the towns of Moss Vale and Bowral. The Don Bradman museum is an interesting ‘must see’ local attraction in Bowral. We loved visiting this beautiful area and staying at Bundanoon Lodge!

Great coffee and food at local cafes and staff very friendly. Great meal at George's restaurant at Osborn House. Lovely lunch and visit to Bendoorly Wine Estate at Berrima only 25 mins drive. Great views in the national Park just down the road from our hotel. Nice visit to Red Cow Garden at Sutton Forest but a few weeks later and we'd see more Spring colours in the garden.

Great base for bushwalks.
Great base for bushwalks. Fitzroy Falls and the Western Rim Walk were spectacular. Loved the Glow Worm walk - but it was too cold to see many Glow Worms as they die off in winter. We will come back in summer.
Bundanoon Village very cute and welcoming. Lots of interesting shops, especially the wool store.
Easy road trips to Bowral, Exeter, Moss Vale and all the delights of the southern highlands. Love the cold winter weather and autumn leaves.

This is a very lovely small hotel. It’s in a great location right next to the National Park .The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished . The staff are helpful and charming . The restaurant is excellent we were really pleased that we chose to eat there both nights .
Would definitely return .

Super cute, small little cottage, very nicely decorated and furnished. Comfy bed, had everything you need (even a heated blanket for winter). Bundanoon center is literally a 2 minute walk. Very lovely enclosed garden area for our little doggy. Loved the big shower, felt like a spa.

Excellent location to restaurants, cafes and train station. Very clean, basic hotel with huge bathroom.
Comfortable bed. Walk to everything and Bundanoon is a hidden gem in the southern highlands.
