We have stayed here many times, in fact if visiting Newcastle or Sydney we make sure our return trip involves an overnight stop at this BIG4. We have never experienced any problems with any of the cabins we have stayed in. They have always been very clean and well equipped for our needs and stay. Would highly recommend this park.

A wonderful and unique area of Newcastle.

A wonderful and unique area of Newcastle. It is close to beaches, the city and Honeysuckle precinct. The suburb has cafes, pubs, gin distillery and the wonderful family friendly Carrington Bowling Club. A gem in an already fabulous city.

Loved the homely feel and little touches of the house for the weekend. We had lots of room to enjoy. Appreciated the environmentally friendly products and we were close by to The Gin Distillery, only a short stroll round the corner. We enjoyed some day trips to a couple of the local beaches especially Mereweather beach and the Ocean baths . Located in Carrington, still close enough to drive to a few activities to explore Newcastle. Would definitely stay again :)

The public transport is not very frequent in the area.

The public transport is not very frequent in the area. However there are shops that sells amenities and some restaurants. It's a walking distance to the main street where there is more public transport. It's a walking distance of 30mins to nearby woolworths and coles.

The rooms are clean and spacious equipped with wardrobes, microwave, kettle and fridge. You also have access to a shared kitchen, which is handy if you’re staying on a budget! We enjoyed eating downstairs in the pub area and enjoyed the atmosphere of the weekend live music (which we couldn’t hear from our room). Our stay was pleasant and the staff were friendly. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Way too expensive for the comfort you may find.

Way too expensive for the comfort you may find. Shared bathroom flooded and without soap, the lights turn off automatically while having a shower. The kitchen is grimy and dirty, the taps are not working properly and it is incomplete (no hobs or space to eat). That being said, the rooms were not too bad with comfy beds, the restaurant is palatable and the staff is friendly and pleasant.
