Adrian and Charles were exceptional hosts, they both made sure we were comfortable and accommodated to all our needs. Only 3km's to Daylesford. Lovely ambience, high quality decor with olde world charm. Purezza filtered water was sensational. Only stayed one night, definitely planning on good back for at least 2 nights and experience Dudley's famous breakfast.

Exceptional place to stay for a short weekend. Stylish, spacious, chic, quirky, clean. Really liked staying here. Reminded me of my first little apartment in London. The free milk and nespresso pods were much appreciated. Had a lovely bath and smashing shower. Very comfy bed and pillows. Warm. Pretty little outside area and garden. Very private and quiet given it is not so far from the main raod. Very generous TV subscription services provided.

Our accommodation was spotless, very tastefully decorated and so peaceful and quiet, almost brand new, in fact. Red was delightful, friendly and very welcoming. Can’t praise enough the accommodation and all the little extras supplied by Red to make our stay so enjoyable. We will, hopefully, come back in the future and definitely recommend The Blue Door to friends and family. Thank you.

Love the country feel and find it very relaxing!

Love the country feel and find it very relaxing! We went to Daylesford lake gorgeous walk. Sailors Falls was an easy walk to the beautiful waterfalls. Farmers arms restaurant best meals. Love the shops on Vincent street beautiful soaps and wellness.

We loved the surrounding areas.

We loved the surrounding areas. The lakes and waterfalls particularly. The mineral spa at Hepburn spa was relaxing. It’s easy to go further afield with a car and we visited Trentham and the falls, hanging rock and Kyneton. There are many fabulous places to eat in Daylesford including the Daylesford Hotel.

My Mother lived in Daylesford as a teen in the 1940’s.

My Mother lived in Daylesford as a teen in the 1940’s. She won Miss Lake Daylesford in the Miss Victoria pageant. She loved Daylesford. Loved to swim the lake, worked in the woollen mill, played footy in the mills team, polished the silver in the hotel. Lived Patterson Street on 5 acres. Family all went with her on a guided tour when she was in her late 60’s. Her heart was there still. This trip was nostalgic for me and I felt her with me as I shared with my husband. We’re coming back with our 30yr old sons and staying longer, in the warmer weather. It did not disappoint. Beautiful town. Very friendly people.

The property was not worth the money and nothing interesting. Basically a tiny home in a backyard, next to a chicken coop with rooters who will wake you up in the morning. Lack of facilities, dusty and dirty windows and around the skirting. Purely a caravan in backyard no more no less. Rude and bad communication. One of the owner was yelling at us as we heading to the front of the house Don't waste your money. This is not a tiny home at the most beautiful scenery or anything like that

There are a few really lovely homeware and clothing stores.

There are a few really lovely homeware and clothing stores. When visiting 5 years ago there were far more really good eateries; there seem to be fewer now but there are still good options. Lovely walks and the lake is beautiful, as is the Botanical Gardens.

We have visited before but this time we venture to the...

We have visited before but this time we venture to the Lavender Farm experience. Easy to spend quite a few hours there . Family friendly , great options for food there . We also visited Lake Daylesford and sampled the springs and walked to the blow hole. previous times we have visited the convent Art Gallery and Michael Parker Gallery . Both excellent but not open all week.

The MOST INCREDIBLE house I have maybe ever seen. The attention to detail at this place is simply astounding. The owners have the most amazing taste and added so many thoughtful components to the house that enhance the stay even further. The cost house is perfect for a Daylesford retreat I could not recommend this place enough!! If your wanting to stay in Daylesford and have an amazing time THIS IS YOUR PLACE 🫶🏼🫶🏼

The house was absolutely beautiful, very modern and clean. Loved the artwork. Stunning views of the daylesford lake very tranquil. Location is close to the main strip of shops also. The beds were firm and comfortable. We will be back and highly recommend.

Location was excellent. property is a lovely little 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom double storey townhouse. Bedrooms were large and each had their own ensuite bathroom. Kitchen/lounge area was small but serviceable. Heating was good. Pet friendly.

My daughter and I had a lovely stay. Right in the heart of Daylesford, the hotel is a delightful old character-filled building with a bustling atmosphere and lovely staff. Absolutely recommend staying here. 😊
