This is a bustling town!

This is a bustling town! We went to the florist to buy an arrangement for a funeral and he was a great local character. He was very knowledgeable and genuinely helpful about where we can go for dinner and what’s happening in the area. A great experience for us considering our circumstances.

Good sized town.

Good sized town. Lovely farming area - great to drive around surrounding areas. Transport museum opposite the motel. Loved the dress shop, shoe shop, florist and Gray's gift and furniture shops. Lots of variety and choice! IGA open until 9 pm - very handy. Dinner at The Royal Hotel (could have gone to several places which is good to know).

Our visits to Gatton are exclusively to visit relatives. Gatton itself has nothing that I have discovered that I would actually choose to visit and I have yet to locate anywhere in town where good coffee is served. It is a town that I would not choose to visit or recommend as a tourist destination.

There are not a lot of restaurants available but a meal...

There are not a lot of restaurants available but a meal quite late was a kebab which was excellent. The location is a fiendly country town with clean air and wonderful comfort. This is one of the most modern and comfortable country motels we have ever been in.

I stayed there because it was close to my daughter.

I stayed there because it was close to my daughter. It was easy to find. I would have liked to stay there longer- I spent the whole time we were there at my daughters, so I didn't explore Gatton. I would have liked to go to Lake Apex across the road from the motel but we didn't have time.

Unfortunately we did not get to see to much of Gatton as we were there to visit our Mother (94) who has just been admitted following a fall. However the restaurants & pubs we visited were clean & very welcoming.
