What a special stay. The safari tent was super kid friendly and well equipped, and the kids loved wandering the farm and feeding animals. We hope to book this every time we have to drive Melbourne to Sydney!

Very old town with lots of history.

Very old town with lots of history. Friendly locals and plenty to see. Loved reading the story about Nancy. There is also a man there in the assembly hall that has a huge collection of pens dating back 4 thousand years. Well worth a visit. Loved the very old bridge,it reminded me of the old bridge going into Ballina back when I wax a young lass. The missingham bridge if I recall correctly. Definitely visit this piece of Australian history

Gundagai is a very beautiful country town . if your into history and museums and serene countryside then you would like Gundagai .there are a few shops in town and a club . the park has a scenic walkway

Gundagai is an excellent 'halfway' point between Sydney and Melbourne for those who prefer to drive the distance in two days. Quaint town with a bit of character, nestled amongst hills that tend to stay green for most of the year. A number of motels to choose from, a few restaurants including the trusty and well-run RSL. Unpretentious, reasonably quiet with some good cafes as well. So easy to access the Hume Highway (31).

I loved Gundagai, very picturesque and historical.

I loved Gundagai, very picturesque and historical. It has lovely parks and gardens and clean rest room facilities. Friendly locals and lovely boutique shopping. The staff in the shops are friendly. Our pub meal at Lotts Family Hotel for dinner was great. Gundagai is quite hilly which may prove challenging for people with mobility issues. On the whole a lovely stay during our travels.

Nice little town that we use as a stopover on our way to Melbourne. A couple of pubs & a club that all serve good food. There isn't a lot to do in the town however we didn't visit as tourists. We had a look at the old railway station and there are a few things to see in and around the town.

Gundagai is a nice little town with a good location on a river and an active middle of town. The Criterion Pub has good meals and there are some great views to be had with the historical buildings and lookout.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The room was very clean & comfortable, with parking right outside the door. It was quiet & well situated with the petrol station across the road. There were plenty of food facilities to choose from which made it easy for meals.

Great location - a halfway hotel between Melbourne and Sydney. We stayed in the Chicken Coop - which was modern, clean and comfortable. Coco our labradoodle was welcome, and she enjoyed the walks around the farm, and seeing goats, alpacas and horses for the first time.

We have stayed at the Gundagai Tourist Park a number of times . Love their Suites. Always clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of main street. We will defiantly be staying again.
