Room is clean and spacious, lighting is well done. Overall vibe is good. Staff is super nice and gave us free room upgrade and late checkout on a weekday - I can tell in hotel's underground parking lot that it's not busy. In the morning, I saw a young staff wiping/cleaning a section of the common area with a smile - the place is well taken care of. I enjoyed it very much. We did kayak tour nearby and this is a wonderful place to stay, will visit again.

An interesting B&B with great hosts filled with antiques collected by them over the years. Every attention paid to detail for guests. A welcoming bottle of bubbly, wine & cheese in the sitting room and lovely conversations with our hostess Linny. Comfortable beds and good sized towels Great breakfast on offer!

We absolutely loved our stay! The stunning views of the mountains, the animals (especially the cheeky goats and sweet dog), and the peaceful location. The pool was great, and the welcoming hosts went above and beyond. Highly recommended!

Go to the Illawarra Fly - what an experience!

Go to the Illawarra Fly - what an experience! Go to the famous Pie Shop in Robertson. The op shop there is also fantastic, and we enjoyed lunch at the local pub. Belmore Falls was beautiful. Beware, however, that when you are driving to scenic spots in the bush, they may be closed because of floods or other local conditions.

Kangaroo Valley is a lovely, friendly town.

Kangaroo Valley is a lovely, friendly town. Lots of nice cafes and places of interest including scenic lookouts and walking trails. Some cafes/restaurants are only open Thursday-Sunday. The countryside is beautiful although some of the roads need repair. Lots of other towns on the way to/from Kangaroo Valley are nice to visit including Berry and Bowral.

Such a picturesque area!

Such a picturesque area! Wasn't sure what to expect, but so enjoyed our 1 night stay. Wineries, country roads, interesting towns. Loved our stop in Robertson. Bowral & Berry are nearby - we visited neither on this trip & the road less travelled was rewarding in every way!

Kangaroo Valley really is special.

Kangaroo Valley really is special. The many antique shops give the village a lot of character, and it’s fun to wander through them and discover unique pieces and little stories from the past. On top of that, the friendly, welcoming people make the experience even better—it feels relaxed and genuine, not rushed.

My husband and I stayed at Wombatalla for 1 night to attend a wedding in the Kangaroo Valley. Wombatalla was only a 5 minute drive from the wedding venue at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. The bedroom was on the 2nd floor and had a sunny verandah where we were able to sit the next morning and eat breakfast, which was supplied by the guest house. The bed was very comfortable and allowed for a good night sleep after a big day of travelling 2.5 hours to the Kangaroo Valley and attending a wedding for 10 hours.

Mike's Kangaroo Valley was absolutely perfect! It is set in a very secluded spot amongst bushland with beautiful views from both front and back decks. The spa on the deck looking out to the bushland was absolutely divine and was the highlight of our stay!! Inside the cabin was perfect as well with comfy beds, beautiful bathrooms and a kitchen with everything you could need. Thank you again Mike!

Banksia Park Cottages is a peaceful, nature‑filled escape in Kangaroo Valley. The cottages are cosy and well‑kept, with a lovely bush setting and plenty of wildlife wandering through — kangaroos, wombats, and endless birdsong, together with the donkeys, sheep & pigs. It’s a perfect spot to switch off and enjoy the quiet.
