I loved the unique set up of the Tram conversion. It was comfortable, cozy, and picturesque. It met all our needs as a quick overnight stay. I would have liked to spend more time enjoying the space and surrounds.

We liked the rural aspect of the town.

We liked the rural aspect of the town. As we came for a private function, we didn't have any time to explore the local attractions. As we have been there before we have seen some of the area. I particularly liked travelling up Mt Dandenong to Olinda for the eateries and the gift shops. We found that we needed a car to get around.

Lilydale is a beautiful town with an abundance of cafes & other eateries & in close proximity to wineries & other tourist spots. We attended a concert @ Rochford Winery which was only a 15 minute drive from our accommodation.

Lilydale has a great Lake for walking, having picnics and BBQ’s. It has a great play area for kids and is great to watch the sunset. It also has a strip of shops with restaurants and is a great place to stay and visit the Yarra Valley and the numerous wineries. It’s not to far from Maroondah Dam and Healesville and surrounds

Convenience was great. However

Convenience was great. However Smokers outside our door prevented us from leaving door open for fresh air as no opening windows in room . People below had noisy kids and 2 dogs playing in carpark. Air conditioning was very noisy all night.

We had no prior knowledge of the facility but though it would suit our requirements for an overnight stay as we were attending a function reasonably close by. It was not that straight forward to find but google maps helped and having been there we would find it easier on the next occasion. We were greeted by a very happy receptionist who gave clear and precise information. The section we were accommodated in showed some age on the outside but was excellent on the inside with a large living/bedroom, with an extremely large and comfortable bed. There were all the requirements to make a hot beverage and a microwave oven. The refrigerator was stocked with milk. The bathroom area was also very large and well appointed. There was an afterhours security system in operation after 9.00pm to access the facility which gave a sense of security. Generally, we felt it was a comfortable stay and would consider staying there in the future.

The motel (Econo Lodge ) was accessed off the Maroondah Highway, although the address was Maroondah Highway. Signage was not visible, so easy to miss where to turn to enter. Hilly in Lilydale, not good for walking when you are not used to hills. Our accomodation was a good walk from the supermarker/shops/ We had an evening meal at the hotel. That was very good, but not that many other alternatives we could find.

We were staying for a golf tournament and the hotel was conveniently located to the course, restaurants and Yarra Valley wineries. The room had been updated and was fresh, clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely with a modern light up makeup mirror. The staff went out of there way to accomodate us when the tournament was postponed to another date. They totally looked after us ensuring our stay was comfortable.

Everything, exeptional communication from the host. The house had everything it felt like we were home. The house is in a very quiet suburb and its not far from lilydale town. We definately will stay here again.
