I couldn't rate this place any higher, it exceeded all expectations and is even nicer in real life than the photos!! Milawa is a beautiful little town with some amazing facilities, we would stay again in a second.

The hosts were very welcoming. The breakfasts were a generous farmer breakfast using local eggs and other produce! The scenes from our room were great - we had a frosty morning and got a view of hot air balloons.

I was welcomed by the host on arrival. This stay was more like a five star hotel. Very comfortable, very quiet and lovely peaceful surroundings. I would definitely stay again but next time for more days in order to have time to enjoy the village and local sights.

Milawa is a very small town, but central to many great...

Milawa is a very small town, but central to many great options. Try the famous cheese. factory and mustards. Can recommend Stanley Pub on the outskirts of Beechworth. Yackandanda is a quaint little town to discover but Gum Tree Pies is worth the drive, and you can't go wrong with a Gin or Whiskey tasting at Backwoods Distillery. Tour the Beechworth Prison and King River Cafe in Oxley is great....all within a 30mins drive from Milawa.

A great central region, with easy access to the Beechworth...

A great central region, with easy access to the Beechworth historical area, the high country, Ned Kelly history, as well as some amazing art (Benalla Graffitti wall to wall). There is also the amazing King valley produce throughout the local area - And Do Not miss the Ava restaurant, while in the area - as well as the Henleys wine bar and kitchen. Lots to do and see - wether hiking, eating, drinking, history walk, river adventures, eyc

Small wine making region in the King River valley.

Small wine making region in the King River valley. A handfull of small and large winemakers, some of whom have been in the area for generations. Minimal number of eateries for dinner so some forward planning is recommended. Finding accommodation during the Ski season can be a challenge on weekends. Easy day trips to Myrtleford, Bright and Beechworth. Start to the Great Alpine Road (check during winter for snow chain requirements). Easy access from Melbourne and Albury/Wodonga via M31. Visit Rutherglen region, nearby, for excellent fortified wines.

great area for the foodie lovers.

great area for the foodie lovers. The restaurant at lancemore was suburb, however it is a little pricey. Brown bothers another great visit, milawa cheese and milawa mustard, everyone very friendly and accommodating.

We were there 24 hours.

We were there 24 hours. Best tasting ever , 60 mins at Brown Bros covered Brut and Shiraz. Walked back to accommodation. Looked for Aurora but no sighting Had a good meal in Milawa pub. Bought a couple of cheese graters at the cheese factory.

We enjoyed having a drink and bite at Henley's bar and...

We enjoyed having a drink and bite at Henley's bar and kitchen, Ava for that special dining experience and the Milawa Hotel for good food and friendly staff. Milawa is a small quiet town which makes getting to Wangaratta, King Valley and surrounds such as Myrtleford, Bright and Mt Buffalo easy. Great wineries and enjoyed the cheese factory. Brown Brothers is a must visit.

This property is exceptional. Well located, great design and all amenities are provided. We stayed 2 nights, extended to three and will definitely stay again on our next visit. Milawa is a great area to visit, well placed to explore not only The King Valley, Rutherglen and Glenrowan but also close to Yackandandah, Beechworth, Myrtleford and Bright. We loved this region and returning every night to our home away from home made this a very memorable stay.

We stayed 2 nights in this modern, spacious and comfortable house. Even though there were only the 2 of us, we had access to the whole house. The house is extremely well equipped for self catering. Access to the house was easy. It's in a great spot, overlooking Brown Brothers Vineyard and within walking distance to a couple of dining options. We walked to the Milawa Cheese Factory and Wood Park Cellar Door. Both were excellent.
