We loved our stay at the Kentish. We booked the cheapest room, which was very small, but the shared lounge and kitchen areas more than made up for it. The location could not be better, right in the centre of town. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

I liked the thoughtfulness of the provisions available - kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge with freezer, lovely china cups and saucers and teapot, cutlery and plates, electric blanket, towel warmer. Very thoughtfully furnished, charming fittings and fixtures with old world charm. good heating. Location in main street, could walk to pub and historic buildings, windmill.

A quaint little town, with lots of gorgeous heritage buildings to look at. A stroll up and down the main street is a must! Highly recommend a whisky tasting at The Mill and a tour if you can. Lots of great history and curiosities to check out. A morning walk around the lake is a great way to start the day, and they have these quirky cows in the lake to add a touch of fun. Only an hour to Launceston airport.

Unassuming from the outside, but that changes the minute you open the door. Very tastefully decorated in a subtle industrial design. The polished concrete floor compliments the abundant use of stainless steel, making cleaning a breeze! Oatlands is a small town, however the IGA supermarket is only a few minutes walk while the local hotel is a 10 minute walk. As we were only there one night, during the Christmas-New Year break, the local restaurants were closed. Fortunately, the proximity of the supermarket and a comprehensively equipped kitchen we were able to provide our own dinner. Charlie very generously provided a sumptuous breakfast, and that helped us tremendously.

Oatlands is a beautiful town just an hour’s drive from Hobart. The town is full of history and charm, with gorgeous old sandstone buildings. Our visit coincided with the Heritage and Bullock Festival, which kids enjoyed, the old tractors and parade were great. Everything was easy to access, and the atmosphere felt relaxed yet lively. Oatlands is a hidden gem that we would love to return to and explore even more next time.

Great spot for a night or 2.

Great spot for a night or 2. Ride to Parattah or walk around the lake. Meal at the pub was excellent. Wonderful swim and gym centre. Great wool shop 🥰🥰. Carrington Mill interesting and great for lunch . Arkwright and Carpenter worth a look. Lovely sandstone buildings and interesting history. Be prepared for early morning frosts after a cold clear night!

A town of fascinating history, wonderful old buildings and many interesting shops. However check before you go, what places are open for meals at night. It would appear everything is closed Monday and Tuesday nights.

Oatlands is a charming historic village and really is a must-see. Informative plaques have been placed on many of the houses and buildings and there's plenty of history. A very talented gardener has done a great job trimming hedges into all sorts of interesting ?statues. There's good food available at a number of places but be aware that opening hours are not always standard business hours.

Everything about this property is considered. And nothing spared. A generous space to stay in and many extras freely offered. To be in amongst such beauty is rarely found in this type of accomodation. We felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel. But even better because there is soul in this space. When we come back to Tasmania this will be our first port of call. We will plan our trip around it! If you can get a booking here and you appreciate quality - take it.

Raffah House is a beautiful luxury heritage accommodation, set in the Main Street of Oatlands. Sophie has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, with lot's of beautiful touches throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bed linen was to die for. Highly recommend, next time we will definitely be staying longer..

Very nice old hotel from the station, just in front. The host is very gentel and let you know about the history of the site. We also enjoy our breakfast, because the owner prepared all good ingredients to make it. I d like to come back !

An authentic hotel in the middle of Oatlands with a restaurant and pub. I found parking easily on the side of the road. A nice settlement with a lot of shops, I spent 2 hours wandering, I felt like in a movie

The location is great as it is right in Oatlands. It was comfortable, clean and warm and the bed was cosy. The living area is cosy and the bathroom is lovely. We were able to park right at the door.
