Room was clean and big enough, beds were comfy. We used private transport to get around. Location was central to where we needed to go. Kids loved spending time in the pool. The coffee van (pet friendly too!) out the front was helpful for parents in the morning.

Location is excellent, it is on a busy street corner and outside on the deck it is unpleasantly loud, however we expected that from reviews and mapping. There are very convenient restaurants and large grocery across the street. Inside it's quiet, and would be nice and comfortable simply with a better couch. It feels kinda like a weekend bachelor pad, but with a few changes like the couch and a little tlc from cleaning crew, this has more potential

I made the following review below and submitted it for you; The Warner's bay Hotel room #3 provided an experience so disgusting, uncomfortable and disappointing, that my mother and I saw more value in driving home early than in the $295 dollars we lost from our booking. The check in the service was awful; we struggled to figure out where to check in and who to talk to because there were no guiding signs or staff to help out. When we found someone, we were only informed then and there that the hotel does not close on Saturday until 3am! And that 'it is a Pub so we should be lucky there was no band on". It would have been helpful to know this before booking. Upon entering the room, we were immediately disappointed. The carpet was like it hadn't been vacuumed, the bedding had a musty smell and very dusty bed heads. The bathroom was incredibly cramped and dirty. I found yellow stains on the face towels, grubby tiles. Behind the curtains and filthy spider-web covered windows was a view of an industrial air conditioner in a shaft letting in little natural sunlight, Worst of all was the loud droning air conditioning that the manager denied that he could hear. It would have been impossible to sleep with that noise. I would never come here again.

The accommodation part is a let down.

The accommodation part is a let down. Small dated rooms, very basic bathroom lacking shelf / bench space. Bed is comfortable but curtains above bed let in lots of light as they are not against window frame so was hard to get to sleep with so much light coming in. Downstairs pub area and food was great.

I love the food, the rooms & the outlook - it's amazing for...

I love the food, the rooms & the outlook - it's amazing for the price. Would highly recommend staying there. My only comment is if you have trouble with stairs, as theirs no lift to the rooms. It's a beautiful place for a lovely walk before dinner.

Macquarie 4 star was good for me as it was close to...

Macquarie 4 star was good for me as it was close to amenities, had a good vibe and my room was quite and looked out over the creek. It was nice to wake up and see all the paddlers and people enjoying the water. The staff was excellent too and helped me with my requests. I will definitely stay there again.

The expected usual area was not the Toronto area. The lake is just stunning and the people lovely. My entire experience was highly satisfactory. Warners Bay is a set of diamonds in the tiara that is Lake Mac!

Warners Bay is located on beautiful Lake Macquarie and has all the amenities a traveller could need. Easy walking trails along the lakeside and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Easy access to other areas of Newcastle and is a very pleasant place to stay.

The rooms were very spacious, clean and modern. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, the pool area was lovely with good quality outdoor furniture and shade. A little coffee cart (very popular with the locals) was conveniently located right at the front. Excellent location. We pretty much walked into Warners Bay precinct each day and evening as it was a lovely walk along the lake. Plenty of allocated off street parking also.

Excellent location across the road from lake. The manager and staff were amazing couldn't be more helpful, very friendly. The restaurant was downstairs in the hotel and the food quality was excellent. Would recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
