The property was wonderful. The pool is amazing and my room was so new and air conditioned and nice big bathroom. The breakfast that is included was delicious and so amazing. The wait staff at restaurant is so nice and helpful.

This place is literally out of this world beautiful, whimsical, and perfect! San Vicente Hideaway is easily one of the best places I’ve stayed in the world. It’s tucked away in a cloud forest with breathtaking views, delicious eats, a whimsical mushroom garden, and the gateway to a national park with breathtaking waterfalls. This place is family-owned by amazingly talented and hospitable siblings as well!

Quesada is the biggest town in the San Carlos County,...

Quesada is the biggest town in the San Carlos County, Alajuela Province. It's 30 min away from La Fortuna. The restaurants have good quality traditional food and other fusion offerings at affordable prices and there's even a new, modern shopping mall, but there is one thing about Quesada that was great to learn. The tap water is the cleanest in Central America and Mexico. They source it from 5 large natural springs from El Parque Nacional de las Aguas nearby. Just bring your water bottle and fill up!! Be advised that Quesada is great as a "base" for the eco tourism attractions of Northern Costa Rica, but it is not a tourist town by itself, however, it is a very safe place compared to San Jose or other towns of the same style.

When making your reservation, ask for the biggest cottage...

When making your reservation, ask for the biggest cottage possible. Its all uphill and sometimes rainy and foggy when making your way here, and stay on the road ALL THE WAY UP TO WHERE IT ENDS, at the reception, restaurant lodge. This restaurant was a total surprise. The food and service was exceptional. I vote for Jean Carlo as best hotel/restaurant host in the whole country.

Our recent stay was exceptional. The facilities were in great condition and breakfast was nothing short of amazing - The staff was incredibly helpful and communicative, always ready to assist with a friendly demeanor. The hotel is situated in a beautiful rural setting , surrounded by abundant green pastures. The cabins and glamping tents are all separated from one another so there is great privacy. It is a family run business and each of them is very personable and so willing to explain things about the surroundings. Meals were delicious, including an abundant breakfast.

We stayed at this little hotel and we were delighted. The location is very central, which allowed us to get around easily. The rooms are very comfortable and the atmosphere is cozy. Plus, the staff were extremely attentive and friendly at all times. Definitely recommended!
