We used the Fox as a base for exploring Dorset, so didn't really look round the village. Its a good place to stay for that purpose provided you are comfortable with driving along fairly narrow country lanes!

This was a geat area to stay as you had a number a walks you could do or travel around within a 20mile radius site seeing from garden, historic places and costel areas.
Who ever the roads are narrow in places all adding to the experience in the area.

Ansty is a very quiet location, the Fox Inn is a superb Inn...
Ansty is a very quiet location, the Fox Inn is a superb Inn and is also dog friendly. Opposite the Fox Inn is the Old Brewery Farm if you prefer you can rent lodges or camp, there is also a shop and post office onsite that is very handy, There are plenty of lovely walks.

So peaceful and quiet. Great hosts at the farm, tasty food , loved making friends with the calves. Friendly people in the local pup with good food.

The Fox inn is a dog friendly place which is situated in a lovely rural location and there are nice walks. The Inn itself tastefully decorated. the rooms are well appointed, the staff are friendly the food both for breakfast and dinner is great.

Room ready in time. Clean, lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Beautiful setting and friendly staff. Exactly what we expected as it was honest saying no frills. All we were after was a comfy bed for the night and a good breakfast to get us on our way the next morning. Very peaceful and pleasant.

The location was absolutely amazing! Beautiful Grade 1 listed building with a lot of history and completely surrounded in amazing scenery.
Nicky and Simon have a brilliant place here and make you feel very welcome!
Big thanks to Nicky for being the best host of any hotel/B&B I have ever been to. Will definitely be back!
