We had the family suite for the four of us, and it was wonderfully private and comfortable. The rooms and beds were perfect and the scenery was gorgeous. We loved dinner and drinks at the bar and, of course, breakfast! Jinxie was so nice and welcoming, and told the best stories. We really enjoyed talking to him! The town has a very quiet, local feel with beautiful sunsets! The walk to the castle was lovely! Would definitely stay here again!

Walking in we,were stunned by the beauty of it all. Lovely sitting area, fantastic dinning area and exceptional food. The chocolate-orange tart is FABULOUS!!! Our room had a fantastic view of the water and mountains,was spacious and the beds were a dream to sleep in. Very clean and well stocked with every thing you could possibly need .The staff was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back.

The space and views were amazing! The kitchen kitted out to such a level, went into town for groceries, and enjoyed a home cooked meal. The laundry room was an added bonus, but the best by far was the view we had.

I was working as a film extra so I didn't have much time to...

I was working as a film extra so I didn't have much time to see the sights. I did however pop over the hill to the beautiful village of Plockton, a location from The Wicker Man, where I enjoyed a 99 Icecream from a Chip Shop.

Handy for access to Skye. Plockton and Eilean Donan Castle. Breakfast at Old Post Office Balmacara rather inadequate in that it would not set you up for the day. Old Post Office is overpriced for the facilities and breakfast provided. You will need to arrive before 5pm while the housekeeper is still on duty just incase Booking.com have supplied an incorrect key code

The host was nice. We were advised there were places to eat in the village. We wandered up but unfortunately nothing was open so we couldn't really go anywhere or have the choice of places to eat. There is a hotel a few doors along where we had an expensive dinner. There is also a shop a few doors along. The rooms would be better with a TV as there isn't much to do. Breakfast was okay. My friends would've liked the option of a cooked breakfast rather than the continental one.

Great location on the Loch literally across the road. We managed to get food in the hotel virtually next door. There is also a well stocked shop next door. Room was fine and clean. Bathroom had a very tiny sink not good for shaving. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful.
