The room was lovely and the bed was comfy. It was nice to have soft pillows and comfy lightweight quilt with a lovely quilt cover etc. Nice sized bathroom, plenty of space to get ready althougth could have done with some hooks around the place. The toothbrushes with small toothpaste was a nice touch, together with the comlpimentary shampoo; always a nice touch even when not used. Liked the fact that we were not restricted on arrival times with use of key box, and clear instructions on use. Good amount of parking to the rear of the Inn.

It was fabulous, good value for money, room spotless, staff were lovely. Meals are huge and tasty. Great using local produce you can really taste the quality. The beer garden and play area for the kids was outstanding and although we didn't bring our dog it's super dog friendly and was great seeing one at breakfast! We had a room with a balcony and the view of the wheel and the small waterfall was just beautiful. Would 1000% recommend

Easy and convenient check-in by collecting the keys from the pub bar. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, making for a relaxing overnight stay. We've stayed here before and were happy to return. The pub has a welcoming atmosphere and the rooms are well maintained.

Beautiful property. The rooms are well appointed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the rooms had several small touches that were so appreciated. Carafe of mild k for our morning coffee and fresh cold water was waiting for us. Everything was immaculate. We came into the pub early and had a wonderful lunch and Kater ate dessert while have a drink to wind down before the end of the evening. The breakfast provided was quite good as well. Lastly the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We will be back again.

Birch Vale was adequate for us as we were only staying for a weekend & visiting our family. It was the closest vacancy we could find to Poynton where our family live. I would look at other areas if I was on holiday maybe like Disley or Buxton both nearby but it had everything you needed there. We found a good takeaway for supper but we didn’t have time to venture to the local pubs etc but the Main Street has a bit of everything. You are just on the edge of the Peak District here, if you are holidaying here then venture a bit further would be our recommendation.

Nothing not to like!

Nothing not to like! Everything spot on, from the fresh milk in the fridge on the landing to the choccies in the room. Carol is a great host, nothing too much trouble. Lots of free on site parking. Views from the garden just breathtaking. Lots of local pubs for food in the evening.

Everything was great.

Everything was great. Fantastic little cafe on way to New Mill. Nice walk to it too along sett trail. Note the trail goes behind the industrial area to avoid the traffic on road. New Mills is an interesting little place, for charity shops and cafes. Very friendly people too.
