It was fabulous, good value for money, room spotless, staff were lovely. Meals are huge and tasty. Great using local produce you can really taste the quality. The beer garden and play area for the kids was outstanding and although we didn't bring our dog it's super dog friendly and was great seeing one at breakfast! We had a room with a balcony and the view of the wheel and the small waterfall was just beautiful. Would 1000% recommend

Easy and convenient check-in by collecting the keys from the pub bar. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, making for a relaxing overnight stay. We've stayed here before and were happy to return. The pub has a welcoming atmosphere and the rooms are well maintained.

What Guests Said About Hayfield:

The whole place was spotless and nice to see matching dinner service and cutlery. The kitchen was fully stocked and the knives nice and sharp. The fire was set up all ready to light and a bottle of red to welcome us. The beds and bedding were so comfy and soft. The bathroom was lovely and the free standing bath just asks for bubbles and for you to dive in with a glass of red and relax. Underfloor heating, radiators and the log fire made a toasty warm place to stay.

Hayfield is an attractive village with some very interesting buildings. It is ideally placed for hill walking but not too far from major centres of population for catching up with family and friends.

It is a little, quiet place.

It is a little, quiet place. A local pub was a short walk away, and there is a few nice restaurants a short dictance away too. A house is very tastefully decorated. It contain a lot of period fetures but facilities were new and very clean.

Hayfield is a lovely location - a small Peak District...

Hayfield is a lovely location - a small Peak District village with 4 local pubs three of which serve excellent food (check to make sure when they open). There are also a couple of other restaurants / diners including an excellent Italian. Hayfield is an excellent place as a centre for walking around Peak District (Snake Pass, Kinder Scout and Lantern Pike) with other locations nearby including walks along old railway paths and alongside beautiful canals. The bus service from Hayfield is also excellent - we parked up for a week and didn't need the car at all!

Its a great place to relax in the countryside and take in the scenery. Local walks are great and take you out towards Kinder if you wish. Lots of local walks which lead you to Hayfield village where there are local shops and places to eat. There is a friendly pub five minutes walk away. The house was cosy and had all facilities. Its also quite near to local towns if you wanted to travel further afield. The beds were very comfortable and the fire was lovely especially in the snow.

We thought it wd be nice to stop in the middle of the Peak District on our way to Manchester. The next day we discovered there are a fair number of hotels in the area but I’m pretty sure they were all more expensive and I doubt the staff would be as welcoming and friendly as they were here. Perfect for walkers, not so much for drivers and/or tourists.
