Our well appointed room was very comfortable; even though the rooms were converted jail cells (literally), we did not feel like we were hemmed in. The service staff was fantastic -- warm and personable. Loved the layout of the hotel. We had dinner here one night and that too was excellent. The self guided tour of the converted Bodmin jail was outstanding. I would highly recommend it to all hotel guests. The equipment in the gym was top notch. This was our BEST stay during our recent Cornwall trip.

The hotel was fine and well suited to our plans to cycle...
The hotel was fine and well suited to our plans to cycle down the Camel Trail to Padstow. However, Bodmin itself is a pretty dreadful 'grungy' place and I wouldn't recommend it at all (run down buildings, noisy drunks in the street when we were there etc) One exception to that is the Flory restaurant in the town where the food was excellent and the owner was very welcoming and genuinely cared about his customers. Apart from the hotel, the Flory (and the Camel Trail) there's nothing there at all to recommend - avoid!

Wadebridge is a great location for exploring both Bodmin and...
Wadebridge is a great location for exploring both Bodmin and the coast. All areas easily accessible for a varied holiday. Beautiful beaches along the coast, SW coastal path easily accessible, variety of shops in Wadebridge, and pubs for dining. Great walking and exploring on the moors.

It was our first visit to Bodmin so we probably did not see...
It was our first visit to Bodmin so we probably did not see as much as we should have, especially as the weather was glorious the first 2 days so we preferred to remain at the Hut and just rest, relax and enjoy the weather.

Well our stay was amazing, the hosts were lovely, really friendly and making sure we were all ok without invading us. The annex was beautiful, had everything we needed and more, it was really cosy and homely, the added scones, cream and jam, along with milk for our arrival was very much appreciated and enjoyed. The Annex was easy to find from directions, in a great position for exploring, which we did. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, very clean and tidy, garden looked beautiful although we didn't get a chance to get out there, another reason to come back. The annex was amazing, we would certainly be coming back, was not ready to leave at all, will be back to explore and stay again. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

Very underrated.
Very underrated. Give the town a chance - you won't be disappointed. Bodmin Jail is a major attraction; and there are a couple of very good restaurants - Flory's (which is simply superb) and, at the other end of the scale, Native Burger (superb, also, but in a different way). Some real Cornish character (and characters) in this town - and you won't be plagued by the ultra rich in their Range Rovers here!

Very quaint town, with welcoming local pub / restaurant. Bodmin Jail Hotel is an interesting experience (good). We chose this town as we were visiting The Story of Emily (museum) in St Ive, Liskeard, Cornwall PL14 3LX, which was well worth the visit.

Situated in a good spot in Bodmin really easy to find.
Good parking in their private parking.
On arrival we were greeted by the proprietor unfortunately I didn’t ask his name. Such a lovely young man was so attentive. Explained all we needed to know about our stay.
Our room was cosy clean very comfortable bed and very clean en-suite.
We had our evening meal in the restaurant which was amazing.
Breakfast was also excellent.
We were looked after so well by all the staff.
I couldn’t prize Westberry Hotel enough.

We had a lovely one-night stay at Boleyn House in Bodmin. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring the area. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was provided.
The host was friendly and welcoming. The location was convenient, with easy access to localame nities.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and would happily stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

A very unique experience. I have travelled extensively around the world and stayed in some amazing hotels . However Bodmin Jail Hotel offers more than just a hotel, it’s steeped in historical interest and architecture, renovated to a high spec whilst sympathetic to its original use. Would love to stay again.

Friendly, helpful host. I had the choice between spending over £100 on a room at a big-chain hotel or £50 at BodminRest4u after a 24-hour motorcycle event. All I really needed was a good night’s sleep—and that’s exactly what I got. The bedroom was clean, comfortable, and quiet.
