Everything, the facilities were good and it was good having cleaning products in the kitchen and bathroom. There were two pubs in the village, one cafe which was nice and also the church offered drinks and food. The local walks were lovely.

We loved the cottage.

We loved the cottage. While we stayed there, we tried to remember if the description included any mention of the stairs. Having just checked the Booking.com site's description again, we found there was not. Whilst we managed the quaint original stairs (carefully!) it has to be said that anybody who has mobility challenges would probably be advised not risk it. A photograph of the stairs may help. The cottage is superb in all other aspects and we would definitely recommend it, with the above taken into consideration.

Loved that the beds were very comfortable and warm Didn’t like the dirty duvet and pillowcase Loved the location Didn’t like the mouldy soap dispenser on washing machine and that there wasn’t any instructions or airer to put washing on Loved the good WiFi Needs a good clean and oven needs fixing

The accessibility of the village is great and the village...

The accessibility of the village is great and the village is an ideal location to explore the Peak District. I used to live in this part of the world and it was nice to visit all the nearby towns and the surrounding countryside. There are two small pubs in the village which are easily accessed from anywhere in the village. I would describe Bonsall as a sleepy, quaint, quiet village please visit you won’t be disappointed

Lovely little village, close to Mattlock which has an M.

Lovely little village, close to Mattlock which has an M. & S. Foodhall with plenty of roof top parking, banks, post office, restaurants, take away food - fish and chips. All you could want on holiday.

Bonsall is a lovely old village with lots of history.

Bonsall is a lovely old village with lots of history. Very unspoiled. You can buy a pack of walks which take you round the village talking about places of interest! In a good location for other interesting places such as Cromford, Matlock Baths. We ate at the Fountain cafe and Barley Mow. Highly recommended.
