I was staying alone to break up a long drive south and this was such a nice surprise. Really gorgeous room with so many nice touches and incredibly comfortable. So much character too. The breakfast was also great and all the staff really friendly. A really cool place to stay. Also, even though it’s a pub with rooms it didn’t feel like that. Everything was hotel quality, spotlessly clean and a lot of effort has gone into the rooms so they feel really special.

Compliments to the chef as the breakfasts and dinners we're point on. I was especially delighted with the vegan and vegetarian options. They were absolutely tasty. The rooms were clean and tidy and exactly as expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay that much better!

Everything was excellent, fitted us in at last minute for dinner. An excellent relaxed atmosphere. A wee bonus fresh milk in a tiny fridge for our coffee and tea in the room. Second stay on my way back from down south and will be my stopping off point for future trips to south of England. Recommend the Inn to anyone.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. When we asked about laundry services at the hotel or nearby, they offered to do some for us although it was not a regular offering. Wonderful people. The breakfast is great, and the restaurant very good too (and popular, so book ahead if you’re there at a busy time).

A very rural location, plenty of parking and easy access to the Inn, Accessability is excellent with a lift to the accommodation level. The service both in the bar and dining room was esxcellent. The served breakfast instead of a buffet was much appreciated The standard of the food is simply superior, absolute serendipity for such a remote location.

there is a lovely weir and picnic area opposite the hotel, and a walk along the river. Good location , not far from Ripon, Thirsk and York. Lots of places to visit in the area Fountains Abbey was amazing.

Hotel very comfortable, convenient stopping place. I enjoy using Jacuzzi and swimming pool. Just wish I could feel meal was enjoyable and value for money, rather than very expensive for what I ate! I just stop overnight en route to my destination, so don't sight see or visit local attractions. Morrisons to top up fuel, might count as one of favourite places!

Boroughbridge has a lot to offer to visitors.

Boroughbridge has a lot to offer to visitors. I had no time to look around in depth but, "The Devil's Arrows", are food for thought on what went on there in pre-history! Yes, the town has a modern shopping area but the older town has great charm and a relaxed, honest, Yorkshire ambience which is better experienced than described.....try it and see for yourselves - enjoy!

I love this hotel and stay often. The staff are marvellous. A bit more updating needed for bathrooms. Some tvs too small. Mattresses not so comfy this time although very kindly was upgraddd to a bigger room.

The Crown is in the centre of Boroughbridge with private...

The Crown is in the centre of Boroughbridge with private parking so felt safe and no need to drive to the shops! We were staying to visit a relative so did not have much time to explore. From what we did say we will stay twice as long in January so that we can explore more.

Boroughbridge is a lovely small market town with a lot of history. We often call in for something to eat, or to pick up a few bits of shopping from Morrisons when travelling on the A1. Fish and chips al fresco by the river is a treat!

Comfortable and compact. Well set up with good kitchenette and bathroom. Car parking at the door. Close to town centre, shops, supermarket, cafes, etc. Good communications with owner. Straightforward self check-in. Boroughbridge is small historic market town and makes a good base for surrounding area, including York, Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and Yorkshire Dales.

The hotel is in a great location in Boroughbridge. Our room was at the front of the hotel. It was comfortable, however a bit tired. The windows were distressed and you could hear the traffics on the road. We are in the restaurant and opted for the Sunday roast which was excellent.

Our room was amazing! It was huge, quirky, very comfortable and had some great features. We had dinner at the hotel and I would say the steak was up there with the best I've ever tasted. Breakfast was fabulous and all cooked fresh to order.

Very attractive, elegant hotel, combine with a welcoming, relaxed feel. Several beautiful sitting areas on the ground floor. My single room did not feel cramped, and had a bath! which I prefer to a shower.

The TV has basic channels. Tea, Coffee, tissues provided. Short drive into Boroughbridge. Good car-park space. Good access to pub via back door. Good beer in the bar. Friendly Landlord.
