The whole hotel was just beautiful! From the gorgeous signature scent in the reception area, to the very helpful staff, and the quality of the room and dining areas. The breakfast was absolutely superb! We loved that we could order a memory foam pillow, which was delivered quickly by the staff. An absolutely first rate stay!

Unfortunately we were only there for a one night stay as we were attending a wedding in ST Andrew’s. The Shangri la Bed and Breakfast is an excellent accommodation. The hosts are extremely helpful ,friendly and offer a spotlessly clean place to stay. Breakfast was delicious and nothing any bother for them. I cannot recommend the Shangri La highly enough. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more. Hosts are very knowledgeable of the surrounding area which can be very helpful. Noticed there was an excellent bus service just outside their front door. Great value for money. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful countryside, very peaceful and relaxed.

Beautiful countryside, very peaceful and relaxed. Close to St Andrews and Dundee and several National Trust properties. Always something of interest to see, plenty more places to visit on a return visit.

The accommodation was outside Leuchars to the north.

The accommodation was outside Leuchars to the north. The countryside is interesting and the real feature was the Tay estuary. There is plenty to see to the south as well and we could have done with more time to cover Fife from Falkland House to Tayport. Tayport is quite sleepy and 'old fashioned' but we liked it.

Perhaps I am not the best person to give a full review of this hotel, as it was my first experience staying in a place with a shared bathroom. I only booked it because I really needed to stay in this location and there were no other options available. That being said, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff were incredibly kind. The shared kitchen is very well equipped and has modern appliances.

It served my purpose (a two night stay to visit my daughter at uni in St Andrews), and was much cheaper than any hotel in St Andrews - but still fairly easy to get to. Also quiet and close to the station and buses
