Beautiful room with plenty of space and nice decor. Full breakfast included which is excellent value given the price of the room. It’s super close to Carrickfergus Castle and only about a 15 min drive from Belfast. In hindsight, I would have stayed here for an extra night rather than in Belfast as you wouldn’t be able to find anything close to this for similar prices in Belfast. It was my favourite stay during my 2 week trip in Ireland/Northern Ireland!

Great location. Right next door to our favourite ice-cream parlour! Within easy reach of town and rail station. Quiet area. Place was spotlessly clean.

It was easy to find, very clean and charming. Our host went the extra mile and had a full list of places to eat, get coffee, and sites to see in and around the area. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if I’m traveling this way.

As soon as we entered, it felt like we were home. Everything we needed was there and the place was immaculate. Our host, Julie, left us a wee welcome note and a treat and messaged us to make sure everything was ok. The heat was on a timer so the place was nice and cozy for us when we arrived. It was central to a lot of things and in an historic neighbourhood. Julie also gave a recommendation on a place to eat.

Carrickfergus is a quaint coastal town... castle is a great place to explore down on the harbour.. Lots of nice places to eat, plenty of choice from a wotherspoon to dine in restaurants.. The usual fast food restaurants are available...

We stopped at Carrickfergus for 3 nights, which was perfect.

We stopped at Carrickfergus for 3 nights, which was perfect. It is so easy to get a bus into Belfast to visit the Titanic and do an open bus tour of Belfast. We enjoyed walking along the promenade in Carrickfergus and getting an ice cream from Mauds (would highly recommend the Poo Bear)! The Castle visit is a must, the guide was so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed it.

The house we stayed in was lovely and the town itself is charming. But the people are not very friendly. We went to the local Wetherspoon for a meal and the locals were glaring at us. One man spat at my husband when he was having a smoke outside. It's too bad because the town is quiet and lovely. There is a castle by the sea and we had a nice walk. Maybe it was just that incident that put us off.

A pleasant small town on the shore of Belfast Lough about 10 miles from Belfast, boasting a historic castle, a delightful harbour and marina, and a good prom to stroll along. Good communications by bus or rail, and convenient for the ferries.

Warm and friendly hosts who bent over backwards to help make our stay a super fun one. Fab pool facilities, particularly enjoyed by youngsters. Room was really spacious and the bathroom/shower top notch. Enjoyed the breakfast selection and complementary fridge goodies...and will definitely be coming back to scenic and characterful Carrickfergus...thank you!!x
