Our first time staying at The Bank. the staff were welcoming and attentive. Our room 6 was wonderful. Huge bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Had a great sleep. Loved the little lounge facing out to the sea. Our meal at the restaurant was delicious and again the staff were great. We will certainly come back again and recommend to our family and friends.

Check in time given on booking was 2-3p.m We had to wait on the street for opening at 3pm.Room Location and type of room not as Confirmed. It was in an empty block in another street. No hot water in shower. Radiator in bedroom would not turn on, bath towels had to be used as bed covers as room was so cold. There was no food available. The Emergency Number on wall did not work - it said it did not respond to mobiles. When I needed help I knocked on every door in Building and found no sound, the Inn was locked except between 3 and 6pm so I had to knock on a house door in the street to ask for help. I tried to discuss with your on-line chat service but the respondent said she was not trained to deal with my complaint. The amount I paid for this accommodation far exceeds this very poor service and I want a refund. Please respond to my report.

We were picked up and dropped off by folk we were visiting. Car parking could be an issue for drivers. Cellardyke and Anstruther run into each other, so food available quite close. Anstruther harbour very pleasant.

A place to shiver while watching the cold water swimmers in the tidal pool. Community pub, provides good pub fare. Walking to Anstruther gives the opportunity for wider menu choice. Seafood in abundance. Coastal path gives village and country/sea views

Cellardyke is one of several small fishing villages with harbours along this coast. It is mainly residential with no High street. So limited for groceries or takeaway food. It is however part of the coastal walk so a good base to move about the area. There is a caravan park and a play area near the coast. Roads are narrow with a lot of parked cars and there are steep hills down to the shore road. The harbour had no boats during our stay so perhaps it's no longer used. With a car you're able to travel to several different villages and attractions quite easily.

Cellardyke is well situated for touring the whole of the East Neuk. It has a lovely shoreline, part of the coastal path, and a huge tidal pool which is definitely worth a visit. It is within easy walking district of Anstruther with its harbour, fish and chip shops and supermarket. Recommended as a base for visiting this pretty part of Scotland.

A short walk from the property down to the historic Cellardyke harbour with its interesting collection of buildings. A drink in The Haven Bar was a great way to round off the evening - we didn't eat but the food looked good.
