The staff were very attentive and met all our needs nothing was a bother. The grounds were perfectly, peaceful and nature friendly. I just wish I saw some wildlife. The evening meals were all made with love. The breakfast was self-service, fresh and lots of it. Not far from Cheshire oaks shopping outlet.

This is basic and affordable hotel, and but is an extremely pleasant place to stay. It is just off the motorway, is in a quiet neighbourhood, but has great connections with the Wirral and with Chester, being only a 15 minute walk to Hooten Station. The carpark is spacious and right next to the property, and breakfast was affordable yet adequate. The room and bathroom was clean, well equipped and spacious, and perfectly comfortable albeit basic.

All the staff at the hotel were professional, helpful and...

All the staff at the hotel were professional, helpful and very pleasant. The room was large and beautifully decorated. The water in the bathroom was hot very quickly. There was a good selection of hot drinks and jug of filtered water. The hotel was set in some lovely grounds which we walked round. There were several rooms downstairs that you could go in which had things like a pool table, darts books etc. In all a very pleasant stay.

The rooms were very cold.

The rooms were very cold. It was minus six overnight and below freezing during the day and our heating went off when we were out of the room. Therefore when we got back it was freezing cold in the room and the heater was not an adequate size to heat the room. We were very dissatisfied.

Communication was terrible ....

Communication was terrible .... I had booked a room there specifically because BOOKING.com said the hotel was pet friendly. the booking on the website confirmed the hotel was pet friendly. i was informed on the day that the hotel did not allow pets in the executive suites ( so why was I able to bok it when i was looking for somewhere pet friendly ) the two options when i was looking to book were this place or the local travelodge for £ 48.... i chose to pay the extra to stay somewhere nice. then ended up having to stay in the travelodge anyway and paying £150 for the privilidg e

We loved the Hotel, and its location, Staff were very helpfull, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. very nice extras in bedrooms, ie, bathrobes, slippers, extra toiletries. Very comfortable bed. Will certainly stay again.

Olde worlde English hotel. Comfortable and friendly staff. Helen on reception is great. As was the hardworking chef who produced a great buffet breakfast
