Totally fantastic - I WILL be back! The Golden Lion exceeded my expectations - my room was gorgeous and the staff was terrific! Also, the location was 100% central, AND the pub/restaurant was like a meeting hub for the town - so there was plenty of action but not a lot of noise, and NO NOISE in my room - it was totally quiet!

Lovely little apartment. Much more spacious than it looks on the pictures. Had everything we needed. Nice and warm (it was below zero outside). Very clean. Was great to have the little cooker. Very convenient for local walks. Lovely view out the front window.

The pods are presented to a high standard. Beautiful location for a short getaway. Host very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Well maintained with top notch facilities/ amenities - everything you could possibly need was thought of and provided. Lovely touches such as cake and fresh fruit upon arrival. Cooked breakfast was wonderful. Host even facilitated an early check-in. Have already recommended the place to family and friends!

The location was peaceful and not busy.

The location was peaceful and not busy. Situated half way between Settle and Ingleton with quiet roads to both meant it was also ideal for cycling. Ideal situation for walking to Ingleborough Caves as well. A few little shops in Clapham though I did not use them including a bike shop.

Clapham is a lovely hamlet to walk from, bike, dog walking...

Clapham is a lovely hamlet to walk from, bike, dog walking all excellent place to set off from. Cafes x 2 a pub, lovely river, parking all available. A nice nature walk with a small charge & caves if you want to visit at extra cost. Overall you could spend a weekend here & enjoy the countryside. We had family camping near by so was a good base for us.

clapham is the best venue to take the circular route around...

clapham is the best venue to take the circular route around Ingleborough summit ( 16 km) . There are also other lovely walks around the limestone pavement and the waterfalls. It is a real treat to be able to set off walking straight from the hotel.

Lovely area just wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely area just wish we could have stayed longer. Very friendly locals with stunning surroundings. Close to something for everyone . Shopping walking or doing nothing Food at the New Inn is excellent and would thoroughly recommend. Easy access for all abilities.

Clapham is a quiet village but does get a lot of day...

Clapham is a quiet village but does get a lot of day trippers visiting the Ingleborough estate and caves. The Old Sawmill cafe is excellent (fab coffee) but the village could probably do with more daytime cafes. Settle is not far away and this has an excellent assortmant of shops and cafes.

The hotel is a lovely old building set in a little quaint village, the location was perfick for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and other walks if wanted. the Staff were lovely and friendly, good real ales and we have dinner there both nights and the meals were lovely! My room was clean and spacious, kettle with plenty of options for hot drinks the water and biscuits were a nice added touch! Plenty of room to park as well. The breakfast was also of high quality - would stop again!

Superb Cottage not far from Clapham and Ingleton, Cosy but still enough space inside and a private garden too, Was an excellent peacful spot to stay but not too far away from Ingleton and the Waterfall trail or Malham cove which we visited during our stay would defiently bookk again when we revisit the area .
